Today we saw the US walk blindly into the night despite the red flags, despite the warnings.
We saw Bernie Sanders taken out before we had a chance.
This election isn't "America's problem", local politics affect global politics and that means you and me.
The far and alt-right have shown their colours, the KKK have sung their praises to this man, a man who shouldn't have had the chance to gain this position not only in government but in history.
All of you wherever you are, do not be ashamed of your hijab, your kippah, your skin, your almond shaped eyes, your mother tongue, your culture, your inner and outer beauty.
Stay safe, watch out for yourself, your friends, family, communities and even those who oppress you for they do not know they too are being oppressed by the tall tales of bigotry, intolerance, and discrimination.
You are kind, you are beautiful, you are not alone.
Take care of yourselves, change is slow to happen but it comes at the time it needs to come, no sooner, no later.
Hate cannot win, please, take care, you matter.
