AN: Slight filler chapter here guys! It's pretty short, I do hope you're enjoying it so far if you've been nice enough to give it a chance and read it :0)
I headed upstairs and went to go brush my teeth, as did Ben. He kept trying to talk with a mouth full of toothpaste but failed quite hilariously.
"So..." Ben said as we headed back to my room. "So..?", I said getting into my pyjamas, before crawling under the warm duvet. "You, my mum?" he asked as he got changed and hopped under the duvet with me.
"Urm she was just you know, hoping that well me and you aren't going to urm...crash and burn if you know what I mean, I think she thought we're avoiding properly living together." I quietly said, letting my hair down and he nodded, lying on his side facing me.
"I think that's why she was a bit eager to see if we'd got a place of our own, like it'd cement something between us but we're good, we don't need a big house to say look at us we like each other!" I said waving my hands in the air as Ben chuckled.
"That's very true, I want us to do things at our pace, not when other people tell us to. It's a big deal you know, I wouldn't want it to suddenly change things for us, not until we're ready anyway and yeah, I want us to both be comfortable, and Merlin. I don't want us to stop dating and turn into flatmates" he said. I nodded as I shuffled and lay on my back.
"I haven't even finished off paying for this place, no way in hell am I paying for another one right now" I said and he smiled.
"You know, I wouldn't have a problem paying fo-" he almost said.
"You're not singlehandledly buying us a house Ben, no. We both pay for it, okay?" I stated and he huffed a little lying on his back.
"Why not?" he asked and I rolled my eyes
"Because if it's going to be our house I want it to be brought with our money, I'm not going to argue with you about it, well not tonight anyway." I said and he smiled, I know I'm annoying sometimes about money but I want us to pay for our things, it's only fair if we can both afford to.
I kind of thought to myself that we should wait a while longer before even considering it. He did the whole moving in thing in the past with previous girlfriends and well...they didn't work out. I've never lived full time with a boyfriend in our place as opposed to spending extended time at his place or my place (well I only dated one other person before I got with Ben), although the rate he works we wouldn't be in each others faces all the time, plus I'm always going somewhere and doing something, usually with Merlin. It's just well, a big thing to move in with someone.
It kinda scares me. Not in a 'I don't want to' way but urm, yeah- it's strange I guess.
"Let's be honest, house hunting is a fucking nightmare, I hated moving around at uni, it was enough to put me off getting a place" I added. "It really is, I get so bored! After getting my place I could understand why people are never in a rush to move house unless they really have to, it's awful" he exclaimed, and I laughed..
"I take it you're not longer you know, frustrated?" Ben asked, twirling some of my hair around his index finger and I covered my face with my hand, giggling. "Honestly, yes. But I'm so full from dinner and sleepy from the wine that I don't even have it in me to urm yeah. God we ate so much, so worth it though, mmm foooooooooooood" I said and he laughed a little.
"Well, a little kiss hardly takes up anything" Ben said and I smiled as he moved closer, wrapping his arm around my middle and his lips softly met mine.
"That was exhausting, you lied, I'm knackered" I said placing my head against the pillow.
"One kiss exhausted you? Wow, you're getting old missy" Ben cheekily said and I glared at him.
"I've got nine years on you, think about that old man" I said and stuck my tongue out before turning over and turning my lamp off.
"You're such a little-" he almost said.
"Night Ben"
"A little sh-"
"Night Ben!" I excalimed, I wasn't going to let him finish his sentence, just for my own fun, and to annoy him.
"God, you woke up being Rosie and slowly turned into Martin" he said and I smiled to myself before going to sleep.
