Chapter One

Justin's P.O.V.

The summer had just begun, school was out and I was free! There wasn't much to do here in Oklahoma, we had some lakes but that was it. I had grown used to the boring life of zoning myself out on video games or the computer. Now I really didn't know what to do with myself all summer, sleep maybe?

I had plans to hang out with friends but summer was my time. My family was planning a return visit back home to see my grandfather. Grandma died years ago and he lived alone in a house right down the street from my former best friend Lexie, that's where I lived while I was there.

No matter how hard I tried, Lexie was on my mind every single day. I wondered how life was treating her, if she was happy, and most importantly if she remembered me. How could a girl I left ten years ago still be haunting me? She was your first love stupid, my mind constantly reminded me.

It was true, even though our status never went over friends she was more to me then that. I shook my head of these thoughts, she probably wouldn't even remember me, she probably moved on with her life. I sighed, she was driving me crazy and she probably forgot I existed.

I hopped onto my computer scrolling my mouse to my new favorite website, Facebook. It was a great way to keep in touch with family members that lived far away. I felt like a dork but I played some of the games on there when I got bored. It helped pass the time when there was nothing I could do.

As I was chatting with some of my cousins an idea popped into my head. What if Lexie had a Facebook? It didn't take much convincing for me to search up her name. Two pages of Lexie Sanders, it was unbelievable! I was about to give up when a certain picture caught my eye.

I clicked on the profile and about yelled in excitement, there she was right on my screen. Wow she had grown up into a beautiful girl! In her profile picture she was standing with another guy in costumes, maybe this was a Halloween party. I felt like a stalker reading through her profile but she didn't block it.

"Guys! Can't wait for Much Ado About Nothing! Get your tickets!" was one of the many posts, "Lets support Garrett! Come watch his new original play!"

She seemed really interested in the theater, if she was anything like she was when I met her, it fit her perfectly. After a few minutes browsing through her pictures and statuses I clicked the button. Friend request sent to Lexie Sanders

"Kara guess what?" I bumped into my best friend from seventh grade who also happened to be my brothers girlfriend. We were walking down the hall on the way out from economics.

"When did you get here?" she laughed, "But I'm listening what's up?"

"Justin Romaine friend requested me on Facebook" I reached up putting my books in my locker. Every day was pretty easy for me, I had a half day schedule since I completed most of my high school credits.

"Who?"

"My best friend from like third grade" I laughed, watching as her face lit up in understanding. "I'm surprised he still remembers me"

"Are you going to accept it?" she asked as we pushed through the students to get to the parking lot.

"I want to but, I have to ask my dad first"

She rolled her eyes, "I can't believe how strict your parents are"

"Don't even get me started" I sighed plopping into the passenger seat of her car. Kara was nice enough to give me a ride to and from school since my parents didn't let me drive at all.
