Chapter Twelve

Justin's P.O.V.

Yesterday was really nice. Once grandpa picked us up he gave us a tour around town as we brought up old memories. He took us out to a nice restaurant then we all crashed in our own rooms.

A couple years ago grandpa remodeled his entire home trying to get rid of memories of grandma. I didn't blame him, it must be extremely hard to get past that. He expanded his two bedroom into a five bedroom for family to stay in and added another bathroom with a den, he seemed happy with it.

Last night we drove past Lexie's house and it took everything in me not to stop there. I think I saw Bradley and Kara kissing but other then that nothing. Her home was exactly the way it was ever since I met her.

A two story sky blue house with white trim, stairs leading to the front door of the house, and a huge tree in the front yard. It brought up a lot of memories, like the time I climbed that tree and Lexie kept yelling at me to get down. She was a feisty little thing and now I was getting ready to go see her after all these years.

I buttoned up my shirt hoping I looked decent enough to meet her again, she had no clue I was coming. Pulling out my phone I text Kara who was going to give me a ride to wherever Lexie was. "Hey I'm ready, come pick me up"

"Ok great! She's at rehearsal so I'll take you to the theater, she's going to be soooo surprised ;) Be there in 5"

I quickly replied letting everyone know where I was going. Pacing back and forth outside I was nervous. I really didn't know why, maybe I was anxious for her reaction and anxious to see her again.

Kara was there right on time pulling up in a white convertible. She rolled down her window waving for me to get in. I smiled climbing into her car, "Hello Kara"

"Hi Justin. Its nice to finally meet you" she returned my smile stretching across the center console to give me a hug. Wow this girl was friendly, "Alright let's go, I don't want to keep you waiting"

I laughed as she pulled out of the driveway. "Thanks for the ride"

"Oh it's not a problem, Lexie is going to be floored!" she giggled. Not even ten minutes later we pulled in to a parking lot of a medium sized theater. "Ready?"

I nervously laughed running a hand through my hair, crap that just messed it up. "Ready as I'll ever be"

Lexie's P.O.V.

This was the fifth time we've gone through this scene. I was getting really agitated at the director. First Garrett wasn't showing enough emotion, then I wasn't showing any affection. It was Romeo and Juliet! They were forbidden against each other!

I sighed going through my lines once more with Garrett. As always he was the star in this play along with me, usually Chloe or Rachel played Juliet but I was chosen this time. I couldn't complain it was a lot of fun playing a love sick girl.

My favorite scene was the opening one when they first meet. The spark of electricity that goes off once their hands touch. The look of desire when their eyes locked. Everything about this play was filled with such raw emotion.

"Lexie!" Nick called out for the millionth time, I was getting so tired of him yelling my name.

"You have got to be kidding me Nick! What was wrong with that? It looked and sounded perfect to me! Why do you have to control everything!" I shouted at him, we were distanced pretty far. Garrett and I on the stage while he sat in the control booth.

"Um actually there's someone here to see you" he smiled almost asking for my forgiveness. Nick hated being on my bad side, too attached if you asked me.

"Oh I'm sorry, who-"

"Lexie!" I heard an all too familiar voice yell at me.

Oh my gosh! No there was no way, it couldn't. "Justin?" I questioned as a spot light went over him causing him to completely light up. Holy crap! It was him! "Justin!" I squealed jumping off the stage and running to him.

He didn't hesitate lifting me up and spinning us around. "Hell, I've missed you" he laughed squeezing me lightly before setting me back on my feet.

"I-I-I can't believe you're actually here" I smiled taking in all of him. Dang he was tall, I barely made it to his shoulders. His gorgeous unique eyes looked even more captivating in person. Watching as he laughed his light brown hair fell into his face. He was gorgeous!

"Surprised?" he raised an eyebrow which made me laugh. I'm still surprised I could understand him with that thick British accent.

"Uh yeah, very" I chuckled combing my fingers through my hair which didn't do a thing, it still fell in my face. "How did you even know I was here?"

He pointed a finger at Kara who was running towards me with a huge smile on her face. She tackled me from behind squealing like crazy, what was her problem? "Love bug!"

"Hey" I laughed running out of air from her squeezing me. "What's up love bug?"

"Is that hot handsome enough for you?" she whispered into my ear and I knew she was looking Justin up and down from the expression on his face. "He's got a body like Chris Hemsworth"

"Kara!" I whisper yelled at her. She was practically drooling over him. I pulled away from her grabbing Justin's hand, it was like we never got separated. "Come on, I want you to actually meet someone" I smiled tugging on his arm.

He laughed letting me drag him wherever. "Garrett!" I yelled across the stage. Where did he go? No response. Maybe he was in the back. "Garrett!" still no response. I sighed about ready to give up when he came strolling towards us. "There you are! I've been-" I stopped seeing his lips were all red and swollen. "Ew"

"Oh sorry" he laughed wiping his mouth, "I was just-"

"I know what you were doing" I shook my head watching as he made eye contact with Justin. His face turned ghost white, I looked back at Justin. He was just smiling away, how was this kid so happy all the time? "Garrett, are you alright?"

"Yeah I'm uh fine. Listen Lexie I have to go. See you later?" He gave me a side hug not waiting for any response from me, he walked off. Well that was weird.

I spun around smiling up at Justin. He was so tall! Without thinking I wrapped my arms around him in another hug, I couldn't believe he was actually standing in front of me right now.

He laughed, I could feel his whole chest rumble as he did. "What do you say we go get some ice cream and catch up?" he tilted my chin so I could see into his eyes.

"Yeah I'd like that"
