Chapter Fourteen
Lexie's P.O.V.
We already finished dinner and two movies. I was getting tired and I knew Justin was, he was used to being two hours ahead. Cuddling up next to him I knew he was smiling as he wrapped his arms around me.
Usually I hated cuddling, not even with Garrett who I was really close to. With Justin I loved being next to him, I honestly think if he would have stayed here we would have dated but right now I just wanted my best friend back.
Starting on our third movie I let out a yawn, I normally went to bed around this time. It was summer though so it wouldn't hurt to stay up late, plus I had no plans tomorrow. I then realized Justin didn't have any clothes to wear for tonight or tomorrow.
"Hey, what about your clothes?" I asked once the movie came to a silent clip.
"Oh I didn't even think of that"
"Well your grandpas house is only a few minutes away isn't it?" Leaning up on my elbows I saw him nod, "Go get some then, I'll take a shower while you are gone"
"Oh no you are coming with me, I don't want you here by yourself especially this late"
"Justin I'm fine, it's not going to take you that long" I argued against it. Like ten minutes at the most! He gave me a look that almost scared me, I sighed lifting myself from the couch. "Come on"
Grabbing my keys to the house we walked into the summer night. I loved the nights during summer, they were warm and I could stay out the entire time. We climbed into Kara's car and set off.
Not even three minutes, I counted. I honestly hated the idea of a guy thinking I couldn't take care of myself. Like he had to be with me for everything, I could handle things. Pulling into the driveway he tugged on my arm.
"I want you to see everyone again" he smiled practically dragging me out of the car. I nodded as he led the way up to his grandpas house.
I hadn't been down this street in so long. His house completely changed, it looked bigger. Justin knocked on the door as it slowly swung open revealing a older woman with small traces of wrinkles in her face and gray strands of hair framing her jawline, maybe this was his grandma.
Now that I think about it, I never met his parents only his grandpa. Even if I did I probably wouldn't have remembered them, most of my childhood is a complete blur. I smiled at the woman as her eyes lit up.
"Justin, I thought you were staying at her house" she smiled back discreetly looking me up and down.
"Hi mom, yeah I am. Just came by to get some clothes" he pulled me into the house. Mom, that was his mom? She looked a little too old to be his mother. "Lexie, I want to meet my mom"
"It's nice to meet you dear, please come in" she once again smiled wrapping me in a hug. I smiled hugging her back, this family was friendly.
"Who was that?" Troy stumbled into the room yawning. I only recognized him from that one time talking to him on the iPad. Justin seemed to tense up as he moved closer to me. There was obvious there was some tension between them. Troy locked on to me as his lips twitched into a smile, "Lexie! How nice to see you!"
He pulled me into a hug rocking us back and forth. Dang everyone was really open with their emotions here. "Hi Troy" I laughed patting his back.
"Be quiet Troy! Nathan just went to sleep" another man strolled into the room, looks like I was seeing all of them. "Who is this lovely young lady?" he smiled, did everyone have that accent?
