Chapter Forty
Lexie's P.O.V.
Kara forcefully dragged me by the wrist out of her car, I just couldn't face him yet and she was pushing me to. Thankfully she was gracious enough to let me shower and change into her clothes before shoving me in the car. I knew she was trying to help but sometimes I needed to do things on my own.
Once she got me out of the car she tugged on me even harder to the house. I tried my hardest to fight back, even tried the whining technique but when Kara set her mind to doing something there was no way out. After struggling to get me up to the door she eventually went behind me and started pushing me towards it.
I groaned trying to think of what to say when I saw him. I thought he was upset with me yesterday now he was probably really mad. Kara kept her hand on my shoulders as she knocked on the door and I knew there was no turning back now.
Hopefully no one heard what happened this morning but knowing Justin, he told them. I sighed trying to swallow my nerves as Troy swung open the door. He smiled pulling me into a hug, he was like a brother to me now.
After him and Kara were introduced Troy called for Justin as we stood in the living room. Thankfully Troy decided to head outside for a bit so there wouldn't be too many witnesses. I nudged Kara seeing she was practically drooling over him.
"Would you stop undressing him with your eyes?" I whispered making her jump.
"No wonder Jasmine is crazy over him, holy moly!" she whispered back still watching him load things into the truck. "This family sure has some hot guys"
"Kara!" I tried keeping my voice low since this was a conversation no one should be hearing.
"Sorry but still that is a beautiful man"
I rolled my eyes trying to pull her away from the window but she was glued to watching him. I had half the nerve to slap her because she was dating my brother but at the same time she was my best friend and that's what girls did.
"Love?" Justin said as my gaze whipped up to his voice. Just the look on his face already made me upset, I had to just stop all this.
The fact that he was still calling me love should have told me all I needed to know. Even after everything I had done to him he was still letting me come back to him. I sighed looking down at my feet so I wouldn't crumble from the way he was looking at me.
Kara had went to the door almost blocking it so I couldn't get out. What was she still doing here? "Kara, what are you doing?" I asked watching her cross her arms over her chest.
"If you decide to run out on him I'm going to throw you on the floor and he is going to pin you down until you realize how happy he makes you"
Even Justin was surprised by Kara's comment but I knew she was only doing what she thought was best for me. I sighed trying to think of anything to make the silence between us stop but both of us were mute.
He just stood in the doorway of the hall watching me as I shifted on my feet. How was I supposed to fix this one? This time it was my fault, almost every other time it was my fault for us to be in this position. It was me that was making this so complicated, it didn't even have to be.
I shook my head in awe of this amazing guy that stood by me no matter what happened or what I did. Kara gave me a little nudge before I took off towards him crashing my lips on his. He held me to him as tightly as he could before I pulled away.
"I'm sorry baby, I'm really sorry" I said before he lightly pecked my lips again.
"You can't just run away from me. Love tell me what you are feeling, even if I'm not going to like it"
