Chapter Forty Three

Justin's P.O.V.

Only four days until we were scheduled to leave. I was a bit nervous about our plan to have Lexie move out there with me but I knew once it was over, it would all be worth it. We just had to get past the part of flying back home, me driving back, then making our way home.

It was going to be hectic, I knew that but after this no more worrying. She was going to be with me. Today we decided to do some souvenir shopping, mom was going crazy over a little glass palm trees. We didn't have palm trees in Oklahoma.

That was the only thing that sucked about going back home, the weather. It was either blistering hot and humid or a freezing snow storm. I really wished we could move back out here but mom and dad liked it there for some reason.

Troy and I were browsing the sports section as I noticed this look on his face. I hadn't seen Jasmine with him in a couple of days. Troy and I weren't that close but we were still brothers. "Hey where's Jasmine?" I asked watching his eyes meet mine.

He sighed running a hand through his blonde hair. "We broke up"

"Why?" when I asked that he gave me a look I knew all too well. I nodded deciding to leave that subject alone for now.

Mom called from the other side of the store as we made our way over. Thank goodness this shopping trip was over. The only thing I managed to get was a gift for Lexie. I was hoping she would like it and it fit but we could always exchange it.

We piled into the car while I strapped Nathan into his car seat. I was actually surprised dad and mom weren't adopting him since grandpa could barely take care of himself now. Maybe they were just leaving me out of the loop knowing I had other things to take care of.

Leaning my head against the back seat I started to think how in the world I was going to drive back out here. I had no idea where I was going, which roads I should take, or the fastest route. It would take me at least a week to drive that distance but this was all for her.

I walked into Lexie's house hearing the printer going, she was still working. How she managed that entire company by herself I'd never know but she made it go round. Peeking into her dad's office she hung up the phone taking a deep breath before adjusting her glasses.

Great, she was wearing those. I had no idea why but my girlfriend in those glasses was hot. "Lexie love?"

Quickly her gaze whipped over to mine as I saw the stress written all over it. "Hi honey, listen I know what time it is but the phones been ringing off the hook and I still have reports to finish-"

"Take your time, I'll still be here when you're done"

She smiled as I walked over pressing my lips against hers before the phone went off. She groaned picking it up, "Sanders Beach Realty, this is Lexie"

Dang she sounded professional, "Oh Neil hi, how are you?" She rolled her eyes putting her hand to her head like a gun, guess she didn't like this guy. "The house on seventh street?" it was comical watching her because she was on the phone and using her hands to talk. "Yes that house is cozy, let me see if I have any appointments available"

Lexie searched around her dad's desk for something. Guess she was allowed in here to work. "Oh Neil hang on" she pressed a button focusing in on me. "Babe my planner is on my dresser could you go get it for me?"

"Yeah sure thing love" I smiled turning on my heel to go up to her room.

That guy sure got on her nerves, I could just see it on her face. I wondered who this Neil person was, if I remembered when we first started talking Kara was trying to hook those two up. Glad I got here in time.
