Chapter Two

Justin's P.O.V.

I couldn't believe it! Lexie accepted my friend request! She must have remembered me why else would she accept it?

I was so anxious to see if she accepted it, the first thing I did this morning was check my profile. I couldn't help the smile on my face as I realized she accepted it. It seemed like I always compared every girl to her.

Lexie was so different when I first met her, I just hoped she stayed that way. I couldn't wait to see how things worked out for the summer. A month before my family and I flew out to California. I remember going to her house a couple years ago but no one was home. This time I was going to make sure I saw her.

I enlarged her profile picture examining every part of it. I wonder who the guy with her was, her boyfriend? Maybe her brother? Or that was possibly Garrett? I remember her only having one brother but I couldn't come up with his name.

She dyed her hair red, it wasn't light blonde like it used to be. As much as I liked her blonde hair, the red seemed to bring out her dark brown eyes and olive skin completion. I'm pretty sure she had guys going after her all the time. My mission, to make her mine.

She was probably still sleeping, but I couldn't wait to talk to her. "Hey Lexie! Do you remember me?"

Lexie's P.O.V.

School was a bore but when isn't it? Senior year was all review, nothing new to learn. Kara was coming over to see Bradley so I was determined to stay in my room.

I loved both of them dearly but they got lovey dovey all the time. It was still weird seeing my brother and best friend kiss. Oh well, at least they were happy with each other.

When I reached my room I threw my backpack on the floor and changed into something a bit more comfortable. My phone chimed letting me know I had a new email. I swiped it open checking my inbox.

New message from Justin Romaine

I smiled flipping open my laptop and going on my Facebook profile. He wasted absolutely no time. I logged on seeing he was still online. He was probably a few hours ahead so his day was almost over.

I quickly typed my response. I don't know why but I was nervous, "Of course I remember you! Hi Justin! How are you?"

Waiting for his response I went to his profile looking through his pictures. I learned he was still single, his older brother and him seemed to be getting along, and he played sports. "Hey Lexie! I've been good, how are you?" Justin quickly replied.

It was awesome talking to him, like we never stopped talking. "Good, can't complain haha"

Justin, "Good to hear :) have you graduated yet?"

Me, "Nope, two more weeks. You?"

Justin, "Last week"

Me, "Congratulations!"

Justin, "Thanks lol"

I laughed, we really clicked. I continued scrolling through his pictures, he was really handsome. Still had those green eyes with specs of gold and brown. I was curious if he still had that accent, his parents were originally from Britain so their accent rubbed off on him.

Before I could type a reply I saw the little icon pop up that he was responding. Which was good, I wasn't much of a social person. It was hard for me to keep a conversation flowing, guess that was one of the downfalls of keeping to myself.

Justin, "I didn't think you'd remember me. It's been 10 years since we last saw each other. My thoughts always drifted back to you and us, how we always hung out together. I miss that"

I smiled reading the text in the lower corner, I quickly replied. Me, "How could I forget you? You were my best friend! It broke my heart when you guys moved"

Justin, "Well thanks, maybe we could get together sometime"

Me, "I'd like that :) but I have to go dinner time! Nice talking to you again Justin!"

Justin, "Yeah you too, I will text you tomorrow ;)"

Me, "Haha ok goodnight!"

I shut down my profile and leaned back on my bed. He always thought about me. How weird was it that as soon as I started to wonder about him, he finds me? I knew one thing though, I missed him a lot.
