Chapter Forty Seven
Lexie's P.O.V.
Sadly today was the day I was not looking forward to, Justin was leaving. I was meeting them up at the airport just minutes before they boarded the plane. That appointment I booked with Neil happened to be this afternoon so I had to make things short.
I was meeting them at the airport then heading over to show Neil and his grandparents a house, after that staying with Garrett at the hospital. Knowing Neil he would be right on time so I had no room for distractions. Fifteen minutes I got to spend with Justin before they had to take off.
The plan was for him to go back home, stay there for about a week then drive all the way back here. He was taking Taz with him today so he wouldn't have to endure a possibly two week car ride. I was extremely sad to see my baby go especially since he was my support but you had to do what you have to do.
I sighed zipping up my blouse as I pulled on the heels Justin gave me. I was still in shock he bought me Christian louboution shoes and then on top of that a new phone. He was just too good to be true or mine for that matter.
Kara honked her horn from the driveway telling me to get a move on. I took a deep breathing willing myself not to cry, no more tears. Forcefully shoving Taz into his cat carrier I kissed his little nose peeking out from the gate.
Dad and mom were out showing another house so they had no clue what was going on. Thankfully dad was picking me up from the airport, he was fine with it now once he realized Justin was leaving. He had no problem driving all that way when I was finished seeing my boyfriend off.
I headed down the stairs carrying Taz as I grabbed my keys. Sliding into the passenger seat of Kara's car she gave me a sad smile. It seemed like this week was drama filled. Troy and Jasmine got back together, Garrett was fighting me on moving away, Garrett broke up with Jamie, Marilyn was in the hospital, and me well I was freaking out about the next few weeks.
"You okay?" Kara asked once we made it to the freeway.
"No I'm not" I sighed staring blankly out the window.
"This is tearing him apart too you know"
"I know" I just wish we could fast forward time so I was with him again, with him at his home in Oklahoma. Now I wasn't sure when we would be able to get back out there. I couldn't leave Garrett, not in the condition he was in.
We pulled into the airport terminal as I looked out. This place had changed so much, it was almost like it got an upgrade. Now it was a maze trying to get in this thing.
Kara and I circled it three times before we found the main entrance. After searching around the parking lot four times Kara just decided to drop me off while she looked. I stepped out into the summer air hearing flight announcements, planes flying, and people busy with their own lives.
Flight 318 was Justin's. I headed into the terminal seeing a screen with the flight numbers and destinations lit up. Justin's plane left in twenty minutes. Two weeks without him was going to be absolute torture.
"Lexie sweetie?" I heard Rose call me as I turned around. She smiled pulling me into a hug which I gladly returned, his parents were slowly becoming mine. She pulled away gently kissing my forehead, why wasn't my mom like that? "Justin's over there looking for you"
Rose called Justin over and his face lit up as soon as his eyes met mine. Well I guess it was possible, guys could fall in love. He took no time rushing over to us as he swept me off my feet spinning us around. I giggled wrapping myself around him.
"You look beautiful my love" he whispered into my ear holding me close. I pressed my lips against his feeling him smile.
He set me on my feet just as Kara walked in. "My goodness it's so hectic out there!" she poked Justin's side as a greeting while she held Taz.
