Three short years later, Justin and I were still as happy as we could be. We still lived with his parents so I would never feel alone again. Troy and Jasmine were engaged, they moved out about a year ago into their own house. Unfortunately, Justin's grandpa passed away so Nathan was now living with us as well.

Bradley and Kara were still going strong. We kept in touch so she filled me in on all the details of things back home. My parents finally figured out I ran away with Justin so there was no more worry of that. Kara said they officially disowned me and got rid of all my things including my room. Bradley's motocross career took off while Kara managed every detail on it.

Garrett was still dating Lisa, they made things official soon after I left. He was going to college to pursue his theater career which I helped him with at times. That was definitely his talent, he was made for writing plays. Marilyn was thankfully okay, she still lived at home but she didn't really have a choice.

My job had taken off and was possibly a career. I was now the senior bridal consultant, one step down from a manager. It had its ups and downs but it was a lot of fun to help with wedding planning. Justin had managed to get me a license and a car so I could transport myself around town.

I had finally mastered the area of his hometown and was beginning to get comfortable with the area. Penny and I had become good friends so once in a while we would go out to go dancing or shopping. She was still dealing with her son's father but Justin and I were trying to help as much as we could.

Justin's career was going strong, his MMA manager knew exactly what he needed and made sure things got done. I was so proud of him. I still didn't like the idea of it but it was his passion and I would always support him. He absolutely loved it and made good money with it as well so we didn't have to worry about a thing.

After another day of helping brides find the perfect dress I walked into the house. Hearing Justin and his mom talk in the kitchen I found them snacking on cookies. Chuckling I sat next to Justin as Rose handed me one.

"Hi love" he smiled placing a small kiss on my cheek causing me to smile. "How was work?"

"It was alright, a little stressful today" I sighed taking a small bite of the cookie. "It is definitely wedding season"

Justin chuckled pulling me into his side. It was amazing how he still made me get butterflies with a simple touch. Giving him a quick peck on his cheek I headed into our bathroom to get cleaned up. As much as I loved my job it definitely made me work for my money.

Thirty minutes later I walked back out into the living room hearing a small bell jingle. As I rounded the corner I saw a white kitten running around on the floor. Squealing as I picked it up Justin came into the living room with a nervous smile on his face.

Uh oh, this couldn't be good. Usually when a new animal arrives the other one died. Before my eyes welled up in tears Justin spoke up, "Taz is fine honey. Read the tag."

I sighed focusing back on the kitten who was trying desperately to get out of my grasp. Lightly grabbing the collar I read the tag, "Will you marry us?"

Letting out a nervous laugh I turned around to see Justin on his knee holding out a ring. He was proposing! "Lexie Allison Sanders" he choked out before a tear fell down both of our faces. "I love you so incredibly much and I cannot do this life without you. Finding you was the best decision of my life and I am hoping you feel the same way." he chuckled adjusting himself so the ring was closer to my face. "Will you marry me?"

"Yes!" I squealed gently setting the new kitten down before crashing my lips onto his. We both smiled kissing one another over and over again before he slid the ring onto my finger. It was absolutely gorgeous! Multiple diamonds that surrounded the princess cut diamond with a silver band. "This is beautiful" I breathed out examining the ring in the sunlight. "I love you"

"I love you too Lexie" Justin smiled seeing his family surround us as they all checked out the ring. Mike patted Justin on the shoulder before giving me a hug then wrapping his arm around Rose. This was the best ending to the day.

In one swift movement Justin lifted me off my feet to head outside into the hammock. I laid my head on his chest listening to his heartbeat which calmed me down so many times. We watched the sunset making the sky turn orange and purple. We were engaged! I was going to spend the rest of my life with this wonderful man.

After everything life threw at me I was able to find happiness in my best friends arms. We couldn't be more perfect for each other. Yes we did fight and have disagreements but that was part of relationships. I couldn't imagine what my life would have been like if he gave up on me, I would have never known what true love was.

"Justin?" I spoke up hearing him sleepily respond. "Thank you for not giving up on me. I love you"

He smiled kissing the top of my head. "You are always worth the wait. I love you too my soon to be wife"

Giggling at what was to come we continued laying there. Laying in my amazing man's arms I had an idea. Just one last time I logged into my Facebook changing our status once again. "Justin Romaine and Lexie Sanders are engaged" It was official, I fell in love with my best friend from third grade.
