Chapter Forty Six
Justin's P.O.V.
Tonight I was just restless, it seemed like no matter what I did I couldn't fall asleep. I tried playing on my phone, playing on the computer, listening to music, reading but nothing. I had a feeling I was anxious about the next few weeks.
I think I was more nervous about this time than when I first came out here. Thankfully my parents were being supportive of us trying to start our lives together. Maybe it was because of the fact Lexie wasn't here with me, I guess I had gotten used to sleeping with her.
Well that was something I had to get used to again. Only one more day and we were boarding the plane to go home. I sighed picking up my phone for what seemed like the millionth time.
Part of me wanted to text Lexie but knowing her she was fast asleep. Maybe during the depression she slept so much that her body now required more than the average persons sleep time. Jasmine was now moving in with us as well.
She wasn't as hard to plan since she lived by herself out here so she bought herself a ticket on the plane. Troy offered to pay for all the extra fees for her furniture, that she didn't refuse. Hopefully they would be out of their lovey dovey stage once Lexie and I got back home, they were driving me insane.
I heard the doorbell go off as I glanced at my clock. Who in the world was ringing the door at two in the morning? I slipped on my sweatpants walking down the hall to the living room. No one else must have heard it since I was the only one up.
Just in case I grabbed a baseball bat, you never know what kind of crooks are out there. Slowly unlocking the door I swung it open revealing Lexie standing at the steps. She sobbed quietly lifting her gaze to meet mine.
"Lexie, love what is it?" I asked putting down the baseball bat to bring her inside.
"Justin you have to take me to the hospital please-"
"Are you okay? What happened?"
"I'm fine, it's Marilyn" she sighed wiping her eyes. "I don't know everything but Garrett just called me saying she's in emergency because she had a seizure. Please baby I have to get there, no one else is up that would be willing to take me. You have to take me please"
I pulled her into a hug as she sobbed into my chest, "I'll drive you just give me two seconds love"
Lexie nodded letting me go pull on a shirt then leave a quick note for dad and mom. I grabbed the keys along with her hand as we headed out to the truck. She climbed in as I rounded the side of it sliding into the drivers seat.
I held one of her hands while we drove hoping it was calming her down. She sighed slowing down her breathing as her phone went off. Quickly she answered it and I knew exactly who it was.
"Garrett I'm on my way, Justin's driving me. Just hang on for me okay?" I could tell by the way she was talking to him he was a mess. Shoot I would be too if one of my family members had a seizure. "Listen I know, he's going as fast as he can. Please Garrett hold in there. I'll keep you on the phone"
Lexie unbuckled her seat belt scooting as close as she could to me. Right now I was supporting her and she was supporting Garrett. I placed my hand on her leg pulling her even closer. She put Garrett on speaker phone as he just cried.
It was making her more emotional listening to him, "Isn't Jamie there with you?" she spoke up with a shaky voice.
"Yeah but she's been weird with me lately. She's in the hospital with me but she's in the bathroom" wow that drove a knife into me. What kind of girlfriend goes to the bathroom when her boyfriend is in that condition?
