Chapter Eight
Justin's P.O.V.
Today I decided to call Lexie a little earlier. It was a Wednesday afternoon for me so there couldn't have been much to do. I pulled out my phone and quickly clicked on her name.
It seemed like forever that the call went through. Finally I saw it connecting meaning Lexie had just answered it. She popped up on the screen looking very stressed wearing glasses. I didn't know she wore glasses, those made her look even more hot.
"Hey Justin" she smiled as I practically drooled over her in those glasses.
"Hey um what's up?" I laughed hoping she couldn't see the reaction I was having right now.
"Just sending out some emails for my parents, what about you?" she smiled spinning around back to her laptop.
"Not much but why are you doing that?"
"They are a little behind with clients so volunteered me to do all these"
"What do your parents do?" I asked, her parents were kind of a touchy subject so I tended to leave that alone.
As she was typing she continued talking to me. I didn't realize she was busy, "They own a small real estate company here"
"Oh that's cool" I never pictured her parents as real estate people, "So you are just following in their footsteps?"
"Not exactly, I don't want to be in that field" she kept glancing down at a paper then typing all while responding to me. Dang this girl could multitask.
"What do you want to do?"
She shook her head laughing. I'm assuming it had to do with the theater but you never know. "Its a really complicated name, a medical and clinical laboratory technician" she glanced at me seeing the confused look on my face. What in the world was that? "I'd test body fluids like blood or urine to diagnose diseases and sicknesses"
My mouth opened in shock. Wow I'd never known a girl to do that before. "That's awesome Lexie!"
"Yeah well don't get too excited, there's no money for my college" she continued typing as I heard a tinge of bitterness in her voice. A small knock came from the door as Lexie laughed. "Always get interrupted don't we? Come in!"
"Well hello hermit Lexie" Kara chirped through the room. How was she always there?
"Hello love bug" Lexie smiled still focused on her typing.
"Did you just call my girlfriend love bug?" a voice I didn't recognize spoke up.
"Yes I did, get over it Bradley" she snapped. Finally, there was Bradley. I was waiting to eventually meet him. I watched as he plopped down on her bed, man that kid grew up. He had to be taller then me now, I couldn't believe it.
He ventured over to Lexie's desk examining what she was doing. Grabbing a piece of paper she was working on he hung it over his head while she desperately jumped for it. "Give it back Bradley!"
What was wrong with this kid? I knew he was older then her but from the looks of it he didn't act like it. She eventually gave up smirking at him before she punched him in the gut. I double over laughing as she grabbed the paper from him. Yeah, she could be a fighters girlfriend.
Kara was trying to hold in her laughter as she tended to Bradley, "Oh I almost forgot, someone is on the phone for you Lexie"
Lexie spun around in her chair giving Kara her full attention, "Who?"
I watched as Kara's face lit up reaching for the phone, "Noah" Lexie gave her a skeptical look tilting her head, "Noah Rodriguez, you know Bradley's racing buddy. The one you modeled for last summer?"
