Chapter Fifty Nine

Justin's P.O.V.

Fifteen hours of nothing but driving we finally made our way into a small town. Thankfully my phone knew where we were because I was at a complete loss. It read Wells, Nevada and luckily there was a hotel just a few miles away from where we were.

Lexie had woken up and was as happy as could be, I didn't hear anything bad come out of her. She was just talking about the most random things but it was honestly adorable to see. Maybe she was just distracting us from what could possibly happen.

First we pulled into a gas station so I could fill up my truck since that took most of the tank. Then we parked at the hotel as Lexie jumped out. I rounded the bumper snaking my arm around her waist pulling her into me, you never know what kind of people were around.

She giggled as we headed into the lobby of the hotel and I have to say you cannot judge a book by its cover, this place was screaming sophistication. We walked towards the front desk as both of us looked around, good one to stop at.

After checking in for just the night the clerk had someone lead us up to our room, four stories up. I was not used to staying in hotels, it was usually grandpas house. These people catered to your every need and I had to admit it was a bit freaky.

Once we looked around the room I went back out to grab our bags. It wasn't very cold especially since the sun was going down but Lexie was freezing, she was going to have a fit when we got home.

It was actually really nice to be able to do what we wanted, not having to tip toe or hide out. Now we could go anywhere and do anything and I'm sure Lexie was enjoying that to. It was a little weird not having older adults around but we would manage.

Walking back into the room Lexie was standing at the window looking at the view from up here. I went behind her wrapping my arms around to her stomach as she leaned into me, I could definitely get used to this.

Smiling she leaned her head back on my chest looking at the mountain tips covered in snow. I did not know it snowed in Nevada, or that they had massive mountains. The clouds were passing by slowly as the sun began to go down.

"I like this" she whispered grabbing my hands in hers. "We can be together and no one is stopping us"

"Me too love" I softly said burying my nose in her hair, she always smelled like apples. Just then I felt her shiver real quick, I don't think Lexie liked the cold. "Why don't you go get cleaned up then we will eat?"

"Okay" she responded planting a kiss on my cheek before rummaging through our bags to get what she needed. Sadly this was how we would be living for the next week, digging through our bags to find things.

Closing the door to the bathroom she began running the water while I looked at the menu for this place. Okay so it was a little pricey, eight dollars for soup. Well it was only the two of us so it wouldn't be so bad.

There were tons of options for dinner so instead of picking something out for her I decided to ask her. Going to the door I went to open it but stopped when I heard Lexie singing, she was actually singing.

Leaning up against the door I just listened to her, "Say you love me to my face. I need it more than your embrace. Just say you want me, that's all it takes. Heart's getting torn from your mistakes"

"Cause I don't wanna fall in love. If you don't wanna try, but all that I've been thinking of is maybe that you're mine. Baby it looks as though we're running out of words to stay
And love's floating away"

"Just say you love me, just for today. And don't give me time 'cause that's not the same. Want to feel burning flames when you say my name. Want to feel passion flow into my bones, like blood through my veins"
