"Now, Ellie is still captured, so when we attack we need to also retrieve her and get the reward money. Does everyone understand the plan?" Vlad said. Everyone nodded.

"Alright, we strike in a week. I want Blaine to lead the first attack, and I will lead the second attack. We all know which group we are in right?" Everyone nodded.

"Alright! Teachers go to your stations! Students go to the corresponding station! Everyone start training!" Vlad yelled to the room so everyone would hear.

I went to my station and waited for the rest of the students to come. When I say students I don't mean teenagers. The students range from seventeen to twenty-five. The teachers range from twenty-eight to thirty-two. Anyone above that age, like my uncle, is part of founding this group. All the students arrived and the ones older than me often were annoyed with my excellent skills. Vlad told me to be a teacher but I refused and said I could always learn more. All the students in my rank envied me, but I didn’t. I envied those who were normal. I could care less if I could kill a vampire in any situation; all I wanted was to be with Luke right now.

"Violet! Your turn!" Trace said annoyed that I didn’t hear the teacher call me up.

"Right, sorry." I said.

I walked up to the teacher, my mind in another world, and then the teacher struck out and hit me. I flew to the floor landing with a loud thump. The students jeered. This has never has happened before. I always schooled the teacher. I must be feeling terrible for spying on my uncle and his organization.  I got up and immediately gave it back to the teacher except harder. The teacher was on the floor with me on him holding his arm back in a position where I could break his arm if I chose to pull back. All the students were stunned to silence. They all knew I could whoop their asses if I wanted to, so they didn’t want to get on my bad side, besides Trace who never stood down to me. He always challenged me no matter the odds.

"Let…go." The teacher tried to say.

I let go and walked back to the group of students. I saw all of them tense and then relax, because if anyone showed weakness they were punished. They were put up against me, Vlad, and the teachers in a fight. No student ever wanted that. I've been living with my uncle and haven’t seen Luke in a month. Undercover work was harder than I thought, but I was the one who thought of it. Take this advice; be careful what you wish for, because it doesn’t always end up the way you want.  I thought it would be cool to go undercover and spy for the vampires, but it has brought me pain. I need to get out, and in a week I'll be able to escape during the attack. I will switch sides and the students will all cower down to me. If they fear me, how are they even ready for a fight against natural born killers? Of course, not everyone is going out on the battle field; some will stay here and keep contact with Vlad giving him guidance from the computer which will show the amount of vampires there. I still have not reported to Andrew what I've learned. He must be bouncing off the walls with nerves. When I suggested the idea, he didn’t like it, he thought I would be in too much danger, but he had no choice since I already told Vlad I was on his side.

This place is crazy. I don't know how Vlad and the co-founders got this place running so fast…although this place was probably around for a while because, when I first arrived, Trace recognized me from the fight at the castle. He called me a traitor, who shouldn’t be let in, but Vlad vouched for me and that was the end of any accusations. The organization is located in the woods, and looked like an ordinary camp, but inside each building, there are secret doors that lead to underground tunnels that lead to different rooms that vary upon the training required. The cabins also lead to the tunnels. Those above the age of 18 are allowed to stay in the cabins and live here, but those who live with their families can't stay here. I started walking away to go to the stairs that lead to ground level but Trace grabbed my arm to stop me.

"Training isn’t over."

"For me it is, I've done this since I was five I think I've got all the training I need."

"That's not what you told Vlad remember? 'I can always learn more Vlad.'" Trace said imitating my voice.

"Look I am tired and want to go to bed. School starts tomorrow and I need rest."

"And we don’t need rest?"

"Look I am a better fighter than all of you, you can't challenge me."

"Right, just because you are better doesn’t mean you can skip out early on practices." Trace said.

"Both of you stop it! Trace stop patronizing Violet, and Violet he has a point. You can't leave training early if the rest can't." The teacher said.

"Fine. Go on teaching stuff I learned years ago." I snapped. The teacher hated when I gave him attitude, but it showed I did not fear him. That was part of what we were to learn, to not fear someone, even authority, that way when we face something truly scary we won't hesitate. So far, only I have learned that in my group. I have heard other students sass teachers in other groups, but no one in my group ever spoke a word against the teacher. Training only lasted for an hour more so I gave up the attitude and went with the lesson. When the buzzer rang I swiftly went to my room. I, because my uncle basically owned and ran the place, got a room with no dorm mates. I locked my secret door the second my foot was through, longing to escape the dark place under my room that held secrets and lies.  I went into the bathroom and jumped in the shower letting the water wash away my sins. I hope I am not as bad as Vlad. He lied to me about murdering my parents, and now I am lying to him about being on his side. I got out of the shower when I felt better. Only a week left to live another lie. I got dressed and heard a knock on my door. I opened it up to find Trace.

"What the hell do you want?" I asked harshly.

"Whoa, retract the claws would ya?"

"What do you want?"

"You really are irritated by me challenging you aren’t you? I mean, I am the only one who stands up to you. Why don't you like me huh?"

"I don't like you because you think you are so tough. You have never been out in the field fighting besides the fight at the castle. I have my whole life. It is not as glorious as it sounds okay? You take such pride in violence. Why?"

"Well, it means I can defend myself against bad people."

"Look, what did you really come here for?"

"I don't know what is going on with you, but for the past few days you have been uh…distant I guess. I just came to say sorry… you seem to hate me and I just keep aggravating you, and I just thought maybe I pushed it too far-but only because you seem to have something going on in your life."

"Okay, thanks for the apology. Also, a rule about being a hunter is never feel guilt, have no emotion, only rage, anger and your senses. If you let your rage take over, you are done for." I said as I closed the door leaving him with advice.
