"Andrew, I have gotten word that Nick is in Fairfield…" Daniel announced.

"Yes, Violet told me, but she said not to worry," I gritted through my teeth.

"It does no good to worry. Anyways, we have news on when the hunters will attack. They will be attacking when Violet is out of school because Vlad thinks Violet will show up to help you," Daniel explained.

"Violet is coming…he knows her too well, but she knows him too well also so she can counter his moves," I said as I drank some blood from the wine bottle I had.

Daniel then left knowing I had nothing else to say. I knew though that Blade and Daniel and the rest of the castle were hiding something from me, and I knew what it was, and they had no idea I knew. One of Violet's new friends came up with a cure for a werewolf and was working on one for vampires. And I have been thinking about it non-stop. I imagine my life if I could change back to normal and I am tempted to, but I know that I wouldn’t be able to cure myself if I did not have a trust worthy successor, so I've been observant of everyone. If this man finds the cure I will take it, maybe not right away, but I want the cure…the only thing I'm afraid of is that I will never be able to let go of the things I've learned as a vampire, the things that come with being a vampire. The urge to kill and the violence that comes with it.

Another reason to not take the cure was because of Nick, if Nick was not dead I cannot take the cure, because I started this war and I would end it before I even thought of going back to being a human if the cure was presented to me. Many questions reeled through my head, one was why Violet herself didn’t tell me, and another was why no one else has told me… Blade and Tim have done an amazing job with the training and gathering people to be on our side. I hoped that the war would end this summer. Whatever it takes is what I will do to end this war.  One good thing that has come from all this is that I think of Violet as a friend only now, no more crushing on her. It's nice, and I intend to find a girl for myself when the war is over.

"Sire, the elders would like to speak to you," Tim announced.

"Thank you, I will be there in a moment," I responded.

I sped to the underground castle and the Elder Council was sitting down obviously waiting for my arrival.

"Hello Sire," the head Elder greeted.

"Hello, what is it that I have been called for?" I asked.

"It has come to our attention that a vampire has broken one of the Laws, but is no longer breaking it. But I feel as if the vampire was not informed," the head Elder started.

"What Law is this?" I asked.

"The one that states that Humans and Vampires cannot be together in a relationship," another Elder chimed in.

"Oh, I was not aware of that Law," I admitted.

"A young Luke Forfang was in a relationship with Violet Fortune, I believe they are friends of yours?"

"Yes, and you are correct that they are no longer an item," I replied.

"We know. It's just that back in the day Luke's father was one of the Guardians of the Law, a vampire who enforces the Laws if they see them broken, and they would have the authority to give out a punishment. Now, he is no longer one because he no longer wished to be a part of the Royalty and such, but it disturbs us that he would have let that relationship go on for those months…" The head Elder spoke.

"From what I know it was partly because of the parents that they ended the relationship," I added.

"Really?" an elder asked.

"Yes, Violet told me that is what Luke told her," I assured.

"Then that is better, but we are not lenient, but we know that they are your personal friends which is why we know we would be overruled giving a punishment out, but if Luke and Violet get back together there will be a punishment for Luke…so warn him," The head Elder demanded.

"I will let him know," I swore.

"Also, as Elders we have contacted some of our friends who were trained to be assassins back in the day when there were skirmishes between Vampires and Werewolves. They are on their way and will help you in the war. They are going to target Nick and Vlad," the head Elder announced.

"That sounds good," I said.

"You may get back to your duties," an Elder said and I bowed and left.
