"It's Diane…if she sees me here I am screwed and she will know that Bruce and I are an act and she will start harassing Bruce again," I said on one quiet quick breath.

"Here," Trace said digging around in his bag, "wear this," he said handing me his baseball cap.

I pulled my hair into the cap and put it on and made sure Trace was in between me and Diane who was now looking at kids who were exiting school. I texted Bruce that Diane was at my school right now and I was sure that she was looking for me. We were almost at Trace's car when I saw Diane in the parking lot, which was impossible, but she was there, and I knew I would be busted so I took the cap off and let my hair down then put the cap on. Diane was looking around and she spotted me and I pretended to be in a deep conversation with Trace who played along.

"Violet!" Diane called.

"Diane, What are you doing here?" I called back like she was my best friend which caught her off guard.

"So you're in high school…" was all she said when we reached her.

"Yeah, I'm in high school," I replied.

"I knew you and Bruce weren't actually together," Diane said shaking her head.

"Just because I'm in high school doesn't mean we aren’t together Diane. We are together," I pushed.

"I think I can convince you to not be with him," Diane said with a wicked grin.

"Really? How the hell would you convince me to leave him?" I asked curious to what she would say.

She still had a wicked grin on her face which made Trace tense. Her eye color changed from blue to red and that's when I realized she was the werewolf. I reached in my pocket and realized my vial was at home today because it died; I was going to go to Bruce's today to pick some more up. Trace started to back up while I stood strong, if he could make it in the car and start the engine I might be able to hop in and we could escape.

"So how have you fooled Bruce this whole time?" I questioned trying to bring her back to her human form.

"Bruce, I have been very careful about my temper around him, I didn’t want to scare him off," She said still looking at me with those red eyes. I reached into my other pant pocket to find a nail file which I grabbed.

"Bruce would have known, what did you do?" I asked trying to keep her distracted.

"Being a werewolf, one knows what a human might look for, so I just tried to conceal all the symptoms or warning signals or whatever. Yes, it was me in the graveyard that night; I knew I recognized you that night at Bruce's. Now you can leave Bruce so I can have him or I could kill you, you pick," Diane said as her eyes glowed even more.

"How are you in control? Werewolves have no control over the changes," I said.

"I am also a scientist, and I have come up with a temporary antidote to control my changes and my blood thirst, but it seems as if the medicine has worn off," Diane said taking a step closer to me.

I braced myself and she cackled and her canine teeth were long and sharp, she was changing. She stepped closer to me and I cut her skin with the nail file and her arm started to bleed but under the skin there was hair which was gross. I ran and hopped into the car and told Trace to back up. He did as I said and he hit her and he sped out of the school.

"Go to Bruce's now," I said still in shock.

"Duh," Trace said in a trance.

I looked at the nail file that was covered in blood that had one of those hairs on it. I held it up so maybe Bruce could do something with it and test the blood to see what she was using on herself. Once at Bruce's I banged on the door paranoid that she was coming for me.
