The rest of the week was nice, it had no drama, Luke stayed away, and it was normal. I was glad I had time to focus on school, it made life feel a lot simpler. Alex did seem to grow up a bit, and Greg didn't stay he had to get back to his mother. Another good thing was Alex was excited about school, he was so glad to be back with kids his age, which was a good thing. He of course asked about Luke and I explained to him the best I could. He then told me about the attacks on the castle, and said that Nick almost had a fatal injury, so Nick wasn't going to attack the castle for a while. He said that Vlad and his hunters showed up a couple times but nothing too big of a battle happened more like skirmishes. He told me that Andrew was doing a lot better. Andrew apparently started embracing the fact that he had to drink blood and was doing a good job monitoring his thirst.
"Andrew says that if Vlad shows his face, that the best fighters will go after him," Alex said as he dunked his chocolate chip cookie in his milk.
"That is good," I replied.
"I am so happy to be back, I love Andrew, but I missed you and Jason and Emily a lot," Alex said before he took a bite.
"Oh right, Emily, how are you two?"
"Good, she plans to come over sometime this weekend," Alex said with a grin on his face.
"That's nice," I said as my phone rang.
"Bruce?"
"I did it, I found a cure for the lycans," Bruce exclaimed with excitement running through his voice.
"Seriously? That is amazing? How is your friend doing then?"
"He is recovering nicely. The only side effect of the cure is that the person seems to be completely exhausted afterwards," Bruce said.
"That is amazing, I am so happy for you! You have made history for your family," I said.
"I know, my sister is very proud of me, and the cure for vampires is next, I feel close, but I have found it to me more complicated, but I am not giving up," Bruce said.
"Glad to hear that," I said.
"Violet, who is that?" Alex asked.
"I'll tell you later Alex," I said.
"Well, I guess I will let you go, I just had to tell you," Bruce said.
"I am happy for you, I will talk to you soon," I said before hanging up.
"Who was that? And why was he talking about a cure?" Alex questioned.
"His name is Bruce, and he is a scientist, and has found a cure to another supernatural creature. He is working on a cure for vampires so that is a vampire wanted to be human again they would have that option," I explained.
"So would it work on me?" Alex said with hope in his eyes.
"I am not sure since you are a half vampire, but I can always ask," I said as I ruffled his hair.

"Nick, it is done," an assassin spoke over the phone.
"Good, I am happy to see that Eric is dead," I replied and hung up.
I walked through the park and had my men hide the corpses, as we took over the dog park. The only one we kept alive was the vampire who spoke of the half vampire that lived with Violet. He claimed that he didn’t know where Violet lived, and said they didn't come here. So I would have to give Violet a reason to come here…
