"Don’t sweat it, its fine," I assured.
"I just didn’t want you think that I was…"
"Bruce, it's alright, I know, you aren’t that kind of guy anyways," I said sitting up.
"What kind of guy is that exactly?" Bruce questioned.
"The player type or the one night stand type; you, Bruce are a decent guy," I clarify.
"Alright, thank you for clarifying," Bruce said.
"So Bruce, why was there a slip of the tongue?" I questioned tilting my head.
"I don't know, just happened…" Bruce said ruffling his hair nervously.
"Honesty is very important to me Bruce, so give me an honest answer to this question…do you like me?" I asked watching his eyes change and him tensing a bit.
"Of course I like you, you're a great friend," Bruce said.
"Okay Bruce…now who is bullshitting who?" I asked.
Bruce had no answer and I rolled my eyes at him and wondered what the hell was going through his head.
"Do you like me?" Bruce finally asked looking at me.
"I asked you that first," I countered.
And when he didn’t say anything I laid down and waited. Bruce lied next to me and he looked at me and I looked at him for a moment. He then sat up and put his hands to his face and ran them through his hair. I sat up and looked at him confused by his reaction. He got up and paced the room. I slide to the end of the bed and hung my legs over the end and watched Bruce pace the room. Suddenly he stopped and faced me and he seemed to look into my soul with those blue eyes. He walked over and kissed me, which blew me away. He pulled away and looked at me dying to see my reaction.
"Wow," I said with a smile.
Then I stood up and pulled him in and we kissed again, which turned into making out. Soon we were on the bed, and I ran my fingers through his hair while his hands slid down my body. He was on top of me and kissing him felt completely right. He pulled away to look at me and we both started laughing.
"So what does this mean?" I asked.
"I don't know. You tell me," Bruce said getting off me and getting under the covers and I joined him.
"I guess this means we both like each other," I said stating the obvious which made Bruce shake his head.
"So what happens now?" Bruce asked.
"Whatever you want to happen…" I said leaving it to him.
"Well…you shouldn’t say that. But I mean, how do you feel about this? I mean, I'm older…and I just want to know that you're okay with that," Bruce said getting to the point.
"Completely fine with it," I said which obviously shocked Bruce.
He then smiled and leaned in and kissed me and before I knew it I was asleep in his arms. In the morning I awoke to find myself alone in bed. Looking around I found the clock and it read nine o'clock. Getting out of bed I wondered where Bruce was. Charles knocked on the door and startled me.
"Sorry Violet," Charles apologized.
"It's alright," I said.
"Bruce is out at the moment. He said you are welcome to shower and take some of his sister's clothes again," Charles informed.
