Vlad was only feet away with a new stake in his cross bow, swinging it around at any vampire who dared come near him. I turned back and Nick was gone, I looked everywhere for him but did not spot him. My eyes fell upon Ellie, and I remembered the plan of leverage.

Darting through the battle I made my way to the edge of the territory where Ellie was tied up. Hunters were alert and trying to figure a way to get her down. The second they noticed me they started to attack me, but I was too quick for them. I found my way to Ellie and untied her from the tree. The hunters were enraged that I had her. Putting her over my shoulder I sped back to the castle and put her in the dungeon. Greg and Alex looked at her in her separate cage and gave me a questioning look.

"Later," I called as I raced back outside.

Hypno was searching for Ellie, I could tell from the frantic look on his face. He spotted me, and he instantly knew I'd taken her. He glared at me and sped off to the edge of our territory where Nick was, and suddenly the vampires started to retreat. The Hunters took their last shots at the running vampires and some were hit dead, while some hunters were killed on the way out. Our vampires all retreated inside the castle and looked at the scene that was left. The fire was dying out which revealed bodies everywhere as the grass ran red.

"They will be back," I announced.

"How can you be so sure?" one vampire questioned.

"Because I have Ellie, Hypno's um, mate…" I said awkwardly and walked away.

Walking down to the dungeon I released Greg and Alex and told them to go up to their rooms and nowhere else.

"And me? Do I get to stay in this dungeon again for god knows how long!" Ellie shrieked.

"Just until your prince charming comes to make a bargain that makes us win the war," I replied.

"What? Trace isn't coming for me, he isn’t a hunter anymore," Ellie said.

"Trace? I was talking about Hypno," I said making her eyes go wide.

"What?"

"I saw you two in the forest, I know there is something between you two, and I think that he will demand your release," I said as I walked upstairs.

Everyone was walking around and Blade and two other vampires were escorting some people still alive from the fights to the dungeons. I saw Jeff following them and nodded to him. Walking up to my room I showered off and went into Greg and Alex's room to see how they were doing.

"Hello," I greeted.

"There was a lot of screaming… I was scared," Alex whimpered.

"It's okay now, no one will ever harm you," I assured as I hugged him.

"I think I'm just going to go to bed and try and forget this all happened," Greg announced as he climbed in bed.

Alex got in his bed next and I told him sweet dreams as I left to sleep myself. Morning was almost here and the castle was quiet as I tried to sleep, but thoughts raced through my head. I didn’t fall asleep for a while, and when I finally awoke early evening I swore I could hear crying. I groggily went downstairs and into the dungeon to find Ellie crying.

"Please stop crying," I demanded.

"Why? Obviously I am not a good hunter, I keep getting captured. I just want to go home, and forget all this," Ellie wept.

"I don't want to see you tortured, so I will see if I can get you a room, but you will be chained to the room or someone will have you on a leash or something, I figure it's better than living in this dungeon."
