Walking down the hall there were photos of his family, and once in his room I grabbed my bag and took a last look at his room.  It was very spacious even though he had a king size bed pushed against the wall in the middle. Walking back downstairs I couldn't imagine living in this house all alone. Of course, there was Charles and then his sister and his friend chained in the basement. He was waiting in the foyer as I walked down the stairs.

He opened the door for me and we walked over to his car, and he opened the car door for me and I rolled my eyes. The ride home we listened to music on the radio and made small talk. When he pulled into the driveway Luke's car was there and my mood shifted and Bruce noticed I was tense.

"Is everything alright?" He asked.

"Yeah…I think so," I said staring at Luke's car.

Bruce got out and walked around the car and opened my door but my mind was swirling with ideas of why Luke was here.

"Vi?" Bruce said.

"Right sorry," I said as I got out and he shut the door behind me.

I stood there staring at the car until Bruce put his hand on my back and guided me from the driveway to the front door. With every step closer to the door I became slower and Bruce had to press on my back harder to keep me moving. About half way to the door Bruce stopped.

"Violet, whose car is that? Is it Luke's?" Bruce asked.

"Yeah…it's his…and I don't know why he is here…" I said staring into space.

"Vi, it's alright," Bruce said walking in front of me trying to meet my eyes.

"Right, it's fine," I said nodding to myself.

"Alright, so let's keep going alright?" Bruce said as he stepped to my side and placed his hand on my back again and pushed me forward when I didn’t move.

When we got to the door I took a deep breath and opened it and Bruce followed me in and I shut the door. I heard Jason in the kitchen coughing. I took Bruce's hand and led him into the kitchen. I spotted Luke sitting with Jason.

"Violet," Luke said softly.

"Luke," I replied uneasily and let go of Bruce's hand wanting to stand on my own.

"Violet, how was your night?" Jason asked eyeing Bruce, and then coughing which took away the intimidation he was trying to do.

"It was fine, you should be in bed resting, why are you still up? I told you what you needed to do. Luke, did you keep him up?" I asked walking forward.

"No, he was up when I got here," Luke defended.

"Which was when exactly?" I asked.

"It was like half an hour ago," Luke estimated.

"Jason…what am I going to do with you? What is going to happen if you get sick and Alex is here…Try to be responsible," I said as I helped Jason up.

"Thank you for worrying, but I will be fine," Jason said.

"Then go to bed and take care of yourself please," I asked gently.

"Fine but remind me why you were with Bruce tonight? And weren't you wearing something else when you left?" Jason questioned.

"That's why you came over, to tell Jason what I was doing?" I accused Luke.

"Well, that came up when we were talking yes, but no I came over here to see if you were okay," Luke said.

"I am fine," I snapped.
