He showed Trace to his sister's room and he paused for a moment then continued walking, and he led me to his room across the hall. I gave him a confused look.
"There are only three bedrooms, so I thought you could take my room and I can take the couch over there," Bruce said pointing to it.
"Oh, no I'll take the couch, I mean it's your house," I said.
"It's alright, you're the guest," Bruce said as he opened his closet and took out a pillow and a couple blankets.
I walked over to his bed and pulled the covers back and took my shoes off and that is when I realized that Jason would worry if I didn’t call and I left my backpack in the car with my cell phone.
"Bruce, can I call Jason to let him know I'm staying at your place?" I asked as Bruce finished making the couch look like a small bed.
"Yeah of course, oh and here, I'll grab you some PJ's," Bruce said as he left the room.
I dialed the home number and it rang for a while before anyone answered.
"Hey Jason, it's Violet. I had a run in with that werewolf again, so I am staying at Bruce's since it’s the safest," I explained.
"Okay, I will see you tomorrow then, goodnight," Jason said before hanging up.
"Here are some of my sisters PJ's, I hope they are alright," Bruce said as he handed them to me.
"They are fine, thank you," I said.
"Well, uh do you want to use the bathroom first or…"
"You can, I'm fine waiting," I said as I sat on the bed and ten minutes later Trace came in.
"Hey what's up?" I asked.
"I forgot that I have to get to school an hour early because of detention…so if you want me to drive you you'll have to get up early…" Trace said.
"Oh, okay…hmm, that sucks. Why do you have detention anyways?" I questioned.
"Because I wasn't in dress code again," Trace mumbled.
"You are too bad, how many detention's is that? Like ten this year?" I joked.
"Funny," Trace said as Bruce came out.
"Is everything alright?" Bruce asked.
"Yeah I just told Vi that I have detention tomorrow morning so she would need to get up early if she wanted a ride from me," Trace explained.
"If you want sleep in and I'll take you, it's no problem," Bruce offered.
"Hmmm I think I'm going to take Bruce's offer and sleep in," I replied.
Trace rolled his eyes at me and said goodnight. I then went in the bathroom to take a shower and brush my teeth and change. When I came out Bruce was reading a book. I put my clothes on the floor next to the bed and climbed in.
"Do you sleep with a light on or pitch black?" Bruce asked.
"Pitch black," I replied.
"For some reason I thought you would say that," Bruce said as he got off the couch and walked across the room to turn the lights off.
He was wearing only boxers and I felt my face go red, but I couldn't look away. He was toned and very beautiful. I could tell me was blushing too and I pretended I wasn’t looking even though I bet he knew. It took a while to sleep but I eventually fell asleep.
Opening my eyes it was dark out and I was in the dog park where I found Alex. I was walking down the path as I heard the creatures of the night. I tried to walk as lightly as I could. Suddenly there was a rustle to my left and I whipped my head toward the noise to find nothing. I continued walking and came to the opening where the dogs were allowed off the leash. I looked to the lower part of the field and spotted someone tied up on the ground.
