“Where’s Violet?” Andrew demanded.
“She was taken by Hypno-Flame, but Violet said for me to come here if she got taken,” I explained.
“How did this happen Bruce?” Andrew asked.
“Hypno snuck up on us…and he took her. It happened so fast,” I explained.
“Fine. Daniel! I want Ellie now!” Andrew spoke softly with anger surging through his voice.
A young looking boy came in with a girl with white hair who was chained. Andrew held out his hand and he long chain fell in his hands. Ellie looked at Andrew intently.
“What are you looking at?” Andrew growled.
“I have waited a while to ask, but I would like to become a vampire,” Ellie spoke.
“Oh really? The hunter has changed sides?” Andrew spat.
“Yes, and I would be honored if I could be a Mut vampire,” Ellie said with determination.
“Daniel, you heard her. Take her, get a Fang and Noble to turn her,” Andrew said as he handed the chain back over to Daniel who looked floored by Ellie’s demand and Andrew’s approval.
“Sire…” Daniel started.
“Turn her, that’s, now, an order,” Andrew spoke calmly.
Daniel bowed and walked away with Ellie as the chains dragged on the ground. Andrew turned to me and looked at me intently and then turned away.
“Are you prepared to fight?” Andrew asked keeping turned away from me.
“I am ready to fight, and help your kind,” I replied.
“I need to talk to you in private,” Andrew said as he walked towards the staircase.
“Okay,” I said and followed unsurely.
We walked down the hall and went into a room and Andrew closed the door behind me. I wasn’t sure what to think. Andrew grabbed a pen and paper and jotted something down. He handed me the paper and it read, I know you found a cure to vampirism. Don’t speak out loud only write. I looked at him unsurely but wrote a question. Do you want the cure? Is that why you mention it to me? Andrew read the paper and started to write. No, well, not now. I will wait and see. I only mention it because the law is that only vampires who are under a certain amount of years may receive this cure. Do not give it to anyone without my permission. I read it and nodded.
“So you will stay in this room until you leave,” Andrew said before he left.
“Okay, thank you. May I leave my room?” I asked unsure of the rules.
“Of course, you may wander the castle as you like,” Andrew said looking back with a half smile.
“Thanks,” I replied.
I started to unpack my bag when someone appeared in my doorway with black hair smoothed back, wearing dark clothes to match.
“Hello, I am Blade, and you are Bruce the scientist Violet told me about,” Blade said.
“Yes, I am. Nice to meet you,” I replied.
“Would you like a tour of the castle?” Blade offered.
