“What’s up Blade?” I asked.

“Andrew, here, read this,” Blade said handing me a piece of paper.

As I read the paper tears started forming in my eyes. He knew my secret, my dirty, filthy, and bloody secret. He even explained how he found out.  He knew I’ve been drinking human blood all this time. I took a deep breath before speaking, not trusting my voice to come out in an even tone.

“So you know, does anyone else?” I asked.

“No, I only found out because I was thinking about how you were turned and how you had to become King, all so fast, and that’s when I realized it,” Blade said.

“Oh, okay. Don’t tell anyone. That’s an order. Anyways what’s the status on the hunters and Nick?” I asked.

“With the walky talky from the Hunters, we know they have been looking for Violet, and that since they hadn’t found her, they plan to attack not tomorrow, but the next day,” Blade informed.

“And Nick?” I asked.

“No word yet, but he must be wondering where Hypno-Flame is…”Blade noted.

“Alright, thank you, I will be with Violet,” I announced before leaving.

Walking up to Violet I felt consumed by guilt. She accepted that I drank blood only because she thought I was drinking animal blood. I would if I could survive on it, but I can’t. That’s the price of being a Noble…a strange one at that. I have parts of Dracula’s blood in me so I can create fog. And I have the ability to go in the sun, which no Noble has…strange side affect from being bitten from two different vampires if I may say so. But it makes vampires think I’m drinking animal blood. If people knew I was drinking human blood I’d be ruined since the first thing I did was put restrictions on feeding on humans. I’d be a hypocrite, in which some ways I was…but I couldn’t control this, it was out of my hands.

Entering the room Violet was unpacked. She turned to me and gave a smile; I forced a smile back.

“So how have you been?” Violet spoke cutting the silence.

“I’ve been overwhelmed this year. But the visit from Greg and Alex helped. And seeing you now gives me courage. What about you? Tell me what’s happened on your side of the world,” I said.

“As you know Luke and I broke up. Um, I have this friend Trace, he actually knows Ellie. Um I graduated, yeah…” Violet explained weakly.

“And Bruce?” I pushed.

“Bruce, I met him when I saved his life, and ever since we’ve been tight,” Violet smiled.

“Cool. Anyways, tomorrow is a day to rest and prepare, for the Hunters attack the day after, and we still have no word on Nick and his movements,” I explained.

“Maybe we should let Hypno go…to see what happens…” Violet suggested.

“Maybe,” I agreed.
