Waking up, I heard Greg and Alex walking through the halls downstairs. Racing down I greeted them. Alex jumped in my arms and hugged me and wouldn't let go.

"I missed you to Alex," I laughed.

"I want you to come home, Violet and I miss you so much!" Alex cried.

"I can't come home, I am home…in my new home," I attempted to explain.

Alex pouted but couldn't keep his smile off his face for long. I took a good look at Greg and he was shorter than I was, but lean like me. He had black hair with orange streaks running through with a leather jacket on and wore some chains for a belt to hold up his skinny jeans.

"Hey Greg, it's nice to finally meet you," I croaked, clearing my voice.

"You too, I have wanted to talk to you for a long time now," Greg smiled.

"Here, let me show you two to your room," I offered.

Ushering them upstairs, we found their room which was two over from mine. It was getting near dinner time, and I told Greg that we had food stocked up for him and Alex, and Greg gave a weak smile and nod back. Leaving them to get unpacked and adjusted, I went down to the kitchen to find the cook almost done with making Greg and Alex's dinner. Walking into the dining hall the waiters were setting up the table and pouring blood into the tall glasses, and served small hors d'oeuvres for everyone since eating normal food isn't bad nor good for a vampire; vampires can eat normal food, but cannot live off it.

There were name tags on the plates to let people know where to sit. Walking out of the dining hall I went to my room to get cleaned up for dinner. Walking downstairs I noticed people were already getting seated. Striding into the room I sat down at the head of the table and we all waited until everyone was seated.

"Thank you all for being here tonight, may we thank the animals that had to die for us to feed, and for those who drink from humans may the humans lie in peace and we thank them for letting us feed. Everyone, enjoy their meal," I announced like I did before every dinner.

Everyone started to eat/drink except Greg who looked uneasy. Noticing me staring at him he started to cut into his dinner. Taking hold of my glass I drank half the class in one sipping. Instantly I felt better with the blood in my system. I started to eat some of the food that was on the table. I forgot how much human food tasted so nice, not like blood, but it had a really nice taste to it that melted in my mouth. Everyone was talking cheerily around the table, but some whispered, which isn't whispering since we all have super hearing, about the wars and which side was winning. I tried to strike up a conversation with Greg but he seemed a bit quiet.

"So how is Violet doing?" I asked hoping I would get a response.

"She is doing well, she is really happy with Luke, but sometimes worries about Vlad," Greg explained.

"Ah, yeah, glad to hear Luke is taking care of her, even though she can perfectly take care of herself," I added.

Finishing my drink and the food on my plate I waited for everyone to finish. Greg was talking with Alex and he barely tried talking to me. Greg was obviously uneasy with the whole vampire thing. Not able to wait anymore I got up and left the dining hall and took a stroll in the courtyard. I called for the chef and he was behind me within the second.

"May I have a bottle of animal blood please?" I asked gently.

"Yes Sire," the chef responded while bowing.
