"No, there is a vent up there, do you see? If you get on that red rock, pull me up and then let me get on you, I think I can reach it and jump on the ledge and open the vent," Violet said.
"Wow, you sure know how to get out of situations don't you?" I said surprised she calculated a plan that well so fast.
I climbed onto the tall red rock and pulled Violet up. She was right she would need to get on my shoulders if she were going to reach the ledge to climb onto to reach the vent. I then bent down and she climbed on my shoulders and I stood up trying to keep balance.
"Okay, a little to the left," Violet said and I shuffled left.
"Perfect!" Violet said as I felt the weight on my shoulders lessen.
Looking up she was already breaking the vent open. She told me to wait for her to open the door, so I waited. It seemed forever before the door opened, but it did and Violet hissed at me to come.
"Gosh, could you be any slower? Let's go!" She said pulling me along.
We almost pulled my arm out of its socket by jerking me along, but before we got to her car, she turned pale, and I saw why. Vlad was getting out of his car, just across the street. Violet tugged me along around the corner and we hid behind a dumpster. We remained silent, until Violet dragged me out and checked if the coast was clear. We raced to the car and got in and sped off so fast no one would have known we were there. I never knew Violet could drive that fast.
"Slow down please," I demanded.
"Sorry, okay, slowing down, but we are staying at the house for the rest of the day, and I need to call Andrew," Violet said deep in thought.
When we got home it was around two thirty and Violet raced straight upstairs. Jason looked at me questioningly and I explained to him what happened and he nodded in understanding.
"I take it you are hungry since you two missed lunch. Peggy! Greg and Violet need some food!" Jason called.
Peggy, the chef, came in and asked what I wanted, and I told her whatever she wanted to make would be fine. Alex came in and told me that he was excited to be going to Transylvania with me to see Andrew.

"Ellie!" Vlad yelled.
"Yes," I replied as I bowed my head.
"I happened to find out that Violet's friend Greg is leaving tomorrow for Transylvania with Alex the half-vampire. Your job is to leave tonight on a plane to go spy on them, and report back. You know the cottage not too far from the castle we stayed at right? Well, that is where you will wait until we get there; we need to attack again, very soon. You are to leave in one hour, so gather your things," Vlad commanded.
"I am going back? After I was captured?" I asked in bewilderment.
"Yes, is that a problem? You are going alone, so be careful. The cottage is loaded with weapons so you should be fine, and if not, then this will be our goodbye," Vlad said nonchalantly.
Strutting out of the room I was left alone in the dark training room below the ground. Breathing in slowly I accepted my job and went to grab my things from my room upstairs. As I walked up the stairs and entered ground level people were looking at me and snickering.
"You have something to say?" I snapped as I walked past them making them cower in fear.
Packing my things, I found a photo of Trace and I and tucked it in my bag and left my room, hoping that I would return one day.

"Andrew, your brother will be arriving in an hour with Alex, is there anything that needs preparation?" Daniel asked.
"As long as there is food stocked up for them and their room is prepared everything is fine," I replied somberly.
"Andrew, everything will be fine. I am making sure that we are tracking Nick's movements," Daniel assured.
"Yeah, I should stop worrying for just one minute," I accepted.
"Sire, you haven't drank today, are you feeling okay?" Daniel inquired.
"I am fine; I shall go right now and get a drink. Thank you for reminding me," I smiled.
Walking down the old corridor I found my way to the kitchen and grabbed a bottle of animal blood from the refrigerator and downed it. Immediately I felt replenished and stronger. Greg and Alex would be here soon, I should be excited…
"Sire," I heard Daniel call from my room upstairs.
Speeding there I found him with Blade and he looked a bit worried.
"What is it?" I fretted.
"Word has been heard that Vlad has sent a spy into the area, but we don't know who it is or where they are or what their plans are…" Daniel explained.
"I caught their scent near here, but I also caught a familiar scent of Hypno-flame. He has been here in the past twenty four hours," Blade described.
"Hypno…well he is probably still near us, watching and waiting for us to give away some plan," I guessed.
"Yes, but he wouldn't attack without an army behind him, he is too smart for that," Daniel vowed.
"Alright, well I am going to try to get some rest before Greg and Alex arrive," I uttered trying not to think too much about the wars that were going to destroy my life.

Watching. Waiting. Planning. That's what I was doing. Blade was always coming and going from the castle, but no one else really left the grounds unless they needed to hunt. Speaking of hunting, I need some fuel myself. Searching the grounds of the dark and mysterious woods I sniffed the air and closed my eyes. Locking onto a scent I opened my eyes with shock. The scent seemed familiar, but my memory couldn't place it. Running in the direction of the scent I ran only a couple hundred yards until I spotted a medium sized cottage. It was at the bottom of a rocky cliff and was surrounded by the green trees. The roof was covered in green moss, and the cottage was made out of dark brown wood with some metal on the side posts. There were windows along the sides and the cottage looked a bit abandoned. Sniffing the air again, the scent was strongest here.
Sneaking up, getting closer and closer, there was no sign of anyone here. Assured that I wasn’t in danger, I walked up to the door and looked through the window and saw that there was food on the stove. I listened carefully and heard a faint sniffle. Someone was crying inside, and it sounded like a girl….which meant I could have some fun before I make her my dinner.
Opening the door slowly, I slipped in and shut it softly behind me. Listening, I noticed the crying had stopped. Slinking into the kitchen no one was there; continuing on I entered the living room and saw that the rug corner was flipped. Strolling to the rug I lifted it to find a trap door.
