"I have the background search and what I found seems alright on the surface, but the PI found what you told me about, and apparently their family has been doing this for centuries. The family has been known to experiment on the supernatural and well, they have been trying to find a cure for the younger ones who haven't committed crimes of taking human lives, but they have been unsuccessful so far, but apparently Bruce has been coming extremely close to a cure. His sister who recently passed was actually murdered and with that Bruce has been determined to find a cure like never before," Jason told Trace and I.

"Wow, sounds crazy," Trace said.

"Very, but you said they are trying to find a cure, so why would that be a bad thing?" I asked.

"How would you like it if someone was trying to find a cure for humans? I mean, we would say there is nothing wrong with us, that's how it is for Vampires," Jason explained.

"So now can I talk and get close to him, it's been three days," I pointed out.

"After all that, you are still determined to save those vampires? What if they are an experiment gone wrong?" Jason questioned.

"I will keep my hunter gear on me in case, alright? I just can't let them stay there, I have a duty to save them because I saw them, if I did nothing I wouldn’t be able to forgive myself if they died," I stated.

"Okay, then you will have to be a spy at the same time, because I am not letting you get near him or go into his house again unless you have a camera on you and I can hear everything that is going on, and of course you will have a tracker on you," Jason stated.

"Deal," I challenged.

"Also, before you do anything, Andrew has sent a vampire who has experienced this family. His name is Blade, and unless he agrees to let you in, you won't go in," Jason demanded.

"Fine, gosh," I replied irritated.

"He is just thinking of your safety," Trace pointed out.

"So when will Blade be here?" I asked.

"Should be here sometime this afternoon," Jason said as he got up.

Trace and I watched TV both hoping that Blade would show up soon. I wanted to find out what Bruce was up to, and I wanted to set those vampires free. The doorbell rang, and Trace and I both jumped up and rushed to the front door only to find disappointment; Luke. Opening the door Trace and I both walked back into the kitchen to our TV show.

"Hey guys," Luke said.

"Hey," Trace and I said at the same time.

"So what's up? Haven't hung out in a while," Luke said.

"Nothing much, school, and normal stuff," Trace said.

"Really? Normal stuff, that's a shocker. Vi always seemed to have something going on that wasn't normal, so are you like not talking to vampires anymore or something?" Luke questioned.

"I have limited that yes, I mean I talk to you since we've known each other forever, but besides that Trace here is helping me normalize my life," I stated.

"Wow that is nice. So you really are just focusing on school and such?" Luke asked disbelievingly.

"Yes, school…and such," I replied to which Trace smirked.

"So Luke, why aren't you with Silvia or something?" Trace asked.

"Um, our project is over," Luke replied eyeing Trace.

"Well, it was nice of you to stop by, but we were actually about to go out," Trace said.

"Oh, can I come along?" Luke asked, obviously knowing we would say no.

"Sorry, but its," I started but was interrupted by a doorbell.

I curtly smiled at Luke before I raced to the door. Blade was there and I invited him in and Luke gave me and Trace a questioning look.

"So Luke was about to leave, um just make yourself comfortable," I said.

"Luke, this is Luke?" Blade inquired.

"Yes, this is him," Trace said and Blade glared at Luke.

"Okay… well let's just get down to business," I suggested as I lead Luke out of the kitchen.

"Alright, well tell me what you know," Blade demanded, in which I told him everything.

"Alright, you are uneducated, but that is fine. With the weapons you have you should be safe, but I brought this," Blade said pulling out a vial with a purple flower," It's monkshood, it will also protect you, but do not touch it, it is poisonous. Only open it so the smell is released, that will protect you if needed, and you will know when you need it," Blade finished.

"Okay, so do I have your permission to get closer to Bruce?"

"Yes, but I will be on the property in case anything unexpected happens," Blade said.

"Perfect, I guess I should give Bruce a call then," I said as I grabbed the phone.

"Before you do, maybe bring Trace along, maybe tell Bruce that Trace is interested in going to Fairfield University and interested in science or something," Blade suggested.

"Alright, sounds reasonable," I said as I dialed the number.

"Hello, this is Bruce."

"Hey Bruce, it's Violet."

"Violet, glad to hear from you, how are you doing?"

"I am well, I just wanted to see if we could have dinner again this weekend, one of my friends is interested in Fairfield University and I thought that maybe he could talk to you and give him pointers or just information on the University?"

"Yeah, that sounds very nice, I am free tomorrow night if you and your friend want to come over," Bruce said.

"That is perfect,"

"Good, so I will see you and your friend around seven?"

"Yeah, alright see you tomorrow," I said before hanging up.
