I was hesitant, but I put my taser in my pocket and climbed out of my hiding space. Bruce looked at me and I didn’t sense any aggression towards me, but I was still alert.
"Now, that wasn’t hard was it? On a more serious note what are you doing down here?" Bruce questioned, but I stayed silent.
"Violet, tell me why you were down here," Bruce demanded this time getting impatient.
"I…I, uh..." I stammered.
"I am not going to hurt you, please, tell me why you were down here or how you even came to get down here?" Bruce asked nicer this time.
"This is my second time down here," was all I could say.
"And you came down here why?" Bruce pushed.
"I felt that there was something off about you when we first came over here and met…and I had to know if you were a bad guy," I started, "and when I found this lab I knew something was truly off, and when I found your sister and that man chained up I was horrified…" I said trailing off.
"I take it you know of their existence," Bruce said.
"I know about vampires yes," I replied.
"But do you know about Lycans?" Bruce asked.
"Lycans? Uh no, I don't know about any Lycans…" I said a bit confused.
"Lycans…werewolves, I am shocked you don't know about them when you know about Vampires… well there are lycans, such as the man chained up. Unlike Vampires who have adapted to society and tried to control themselves, and not all have, the werewolves are a lost cause. They are vicious creatures. It's kind of like The Hulk, he is fine when he is human, but once he changes he loses all control, which is the same for a werewolf," Bruce explained.
"So there is no hope for those who are werewolves? How do you even become one?" I asked intrigued by this new discovery.
"In today's fiction most people think they are changed by being bitten which is false, completely and utterly false! There are a couple ways to be turned.
1.To put on a wolf skin belt or pelt
2.To rub a magic salve on yourself, and the ingredients, I am unaware of at the moment.
3.If one were to sit outside during the night on a full moon shining on their face on a certain Wednesday or Friday.
Now these ways are less known today and not believed, but these are the true ways to change. It's quite easy which is the dangerous part, but since most think the way to change is to be bitten it’s a bit safer," Bruce explained.
"So that man you have chained up, have you seen him in wolf form?" I asked.
"Yes, I have when he killed our best friend. When the bloodlust was over and he changed back I tranquilized him and chained him up, he has now been chained for more than four months and it kills me that he is stuck this way," Bruce said, sorrow filling his eyes.
We then heard the door open and Trace showed his face apprehensively. Bruce ushered him down suspecting he knew as much as I did about vampires and went over what he told me about werewolves. Trace seemed shocked, but he might just have been shocked from the lab filled with parts of the supernatural.
"So I bet you're wondering why I have all this," Bruce said as he motioned to the room.
"No, we know you're a scientist, and we know that your family has tried to find a cure for centuries. But why chain your sister up?" I asked.
