Chapter 6

Kaia stared at her open suitcase. She was trying to figure out what to pack for her radio tour. She was so happy that Zayn and the twins were going with her. While she was thankful that Doniya had gone with her to Australia, having her husband by her side was going to make her not so nervous and she hoped it would keep the neurotic male fans at bay a little bit.

And even though Zayn would be with her, it didn't totally ease her fears or nervousness.

She jumped a foot in the air when she felt his hands on her shoulders.

Zayn kissed her cheek and pulled her gently against him. "Baby you have to relax," he said.  "I'll be with you every step of the way."  He turned her around and looked deep into her eyes. "You can do this."

"I'm terrified," she admitted.

"Why?"

"I just am," she said and took a hold of the strings of his sweatshirt and gently tugged on them.

He put his fingers under her chin, lifting her head. "What else is going on in that beautiful head of yours?"

"I hate that I'm so transparent," she said. "I guess it's just everything that's happened in the past few weeks."  She stepped away from him and sat down on the bed. He sat down next to her and took a hold of her hand.  "I wish I could make all of the worries in my head just go away."

"Tell me what you're worried about?"

She sighed heavily. "This whole radio tour, the album, Marian and William and the whole triangle with them, the whole thing with Liam," she rambled on. "This doppelgänger, I worry constantly about the twins I....." she caught her breath and looked up at him. "Baby I'm sorry."

He couldn't help but smile at her. "There's your number one problem."

"What's that?"

"You're always apologising."

"I'm sor....." she began and then stopped. She rested her head on his shoulder. "You must think I'm a total basket case.  Your wife is a lunatic."

"I don't think that at all."

"The day of the shower Harry gave her the divorce papers."

"He did?" He asked a little surprised.  "How do you know?"

"It must've happened right before she collapsed. I took them."

"Baby you need to give them to her. You can't stop the inevitable."

"I know," she said.

"It's their decision. Even if you don't like it. You want her to be happy don't you?"

"Yes. When I saw her holding William, and with her parents and Louis' family, I've never seen her so happy."

"Then let her be happy."

"I know."

He kissed her head. He knew she was worried that Marian wouldn't need her any longer. "And she's always going to want you in her life. She's your sister. You two share a bond that no one can break."

"Do you think so?" She asked.

"Have I ever lied to you before?"

"No.". She wrapped her arms around his waist and held in tight. "I wish I knew who this woman was that's causing so much havoc in our lives."

He held her a little tighter as he heard her words. He was still angry over Liam's admission of love for Kaia. But he knew that Liam respected them enough not to let anything happen as it had with Marian and Louis. He knew that he was in pain also with this woman taunting him like she was.
