Harry drove through the afternoon and it was early evening when they arrived in city of lights. He glanced over and saw that she had fallen asleep and he almost wondered if he should turn them around and go back to London. He was honestly having a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach by being here.

Marian opened her eyes and couldn't help but smile when she saw where they were. "We're here!" She said.

"Yes love," he said as they drove into the city. He then drove to one of the quieter suburbs where he pulled up in front of a discreet, quiet looking building

"Finally back in the city of love. It is so beautiful, Harry," She said wiping the sleep out of her eyes. "Are we going to spend the night here?" She asked.

"Yes," he said as he was happy to find a parking spot. He got out of the car and opened the door for her and helped her out. He then got their bags out of the boot. "Is this alright or did you want to go to somewhere else?"

"No, this place is perfect. Not stuffy at all," she said with a grin. "Can we have lunch and maybe some shopping tomorrow?" She asked. "I love Paris boutiques." She began to push everything that hurt even further back in the recess of her mind. As they walked into the hotel, she gave him a playful glance.

"If you'd like," he said holding the door open for her. They stepped up to the small reception desk. "Do you have two rooms available?" He asked the man behind the counter.

"He miss spoke, we only need one room, after all, we are married," she said looking at his name take. "Nicholas is it? Would you be a dear and just give us one one."

"Marian," Harry said turning to her. As much as he was happy they were currently together, he had a bad feeling it was all going to come crashing down around them. He looked at the clerk. "Will you excuse us for a moment?" He gently took a hold of her arm. "Love."

"Yes, Harry. Is there anything I said that was untrue?" She asked. "I thought wanted to spend time together."

"I do," he said. "And everything you said is true, but...." he began and then looked in her eyes. "Are you sure?"

"Harry, I want us to have fun on this trip. You are one of my closest friends. Please don't pull away," she said grabbing his hand rubbing it with her thumb.

She knew how she was touching him was one of his weaknesses with her. "Ok," he said with a smile. He would take it for what it was. He was and would always be her friend. And she would always hold his heart in the palm of her hands. He threaded his fingers with hers and walked them back to the desk. "One room please."

Marian wiggled her eyebrows at clerk. "Thank you, Nicholas." She took the key card and made a side trip towards the gift shop. "Are we going to go out tonight?" She asked him.

"We can if you'd like," he said.

"Good, I want to buy something fun to wear."

"Can you have our bags taken up?" Harry asked the clerk as she whisked him away. He held tight to her hand as they wandered into the small shop. "What do you want to buy?"

"A dress, something fun and pretty the swooshes as I walk. I haven't worn one in ages and I'm dying to twirls again. Can I twirl Harry?" She asked him with a giggle.

He couldn't help but smile. "Of course," he said as he watched her head towards the racks of dresses. He pulled out his phone and texted Zayn.

Just wanted to let you know we're here in Paris. I know Kaia is worried and I have to admit I am a little as well. Any word from Louis? I promise to take care of her. I think she just needs a distraction. She's been through a lot.
