Chapter 62

"So how has the tour been going? Are you doing okay with Zayn and the children not being with you?" Marian asked forcing a smile on her face. "Looks like you haven't given up your Liam habit like you promised."

Kaia moved to sit down in one of the random chairs. It was just her luck that Marian would show up when she did. She arched an eyebrow at her best friend.   "The first leg of the US was horrible," she admitted. "I was incredibly nervous but according to the reviews they seemed to like it," she said. "The second half was much better.  I had Zayn and the twins with me." She chose to ignore the Liam comment for a moment.  "Thank you for helping with the twins while I was gone."

"What happened to your promise to never see Liam again? Why was he here? Why in the  hell were you kissing him Kaia?" Marian asked in an almost sobbing fashion.   "I cannot believe you would do this with Liam of all people. I feel I can't even trust you any more!" 

Kaia sighed heavily. "This was the first time I've seen him in months," she said angrily. "I haven't had any contact with him. He showed up and don't ask me how he knew I would be here,"she said. "And you can trust me. He kissed me because I told him goodbye, Marian. Whether you believe me or not. I kept my promise to you!"

"I don't believe you, all I know is I walked in here and found you kissing him!" She snarled.  "How do you explain that? You are a married woman and you were kissing another man. What if Zayn had been with me?" She said aggravated.   "I want to trust you, but I can't with your past history with him!"

"He kissed me," she said just as aggravated.  "He wouldn't have been happy but he would've understood why.  I told Liam that what we had was over!" She yelled. "That what he and I had is no more and will never be!"

Marian rolled her eyes at Kaia.   "You could have pushed him away if that was the case but I saw you willfully pressing your lips to his!" 

"It wasn't that much of a kiss," she hissed but she knew deep down it was much more. But now that she and Zayn were back together she wouldn't screw it up again. A part of her would always hold a special spot for Liam in her heart.  He had always been there for her. No matter what. "Just like you couldn't keep your legs closed for Louis!"

"You are a fucking bitch, I cannot even believe you brought that up!" Marian snarled back.  Astonished Kaia was already drawing blood.   "Why on Earth did I ever even trust you? You know what you are." She crossed her arms "You are exactly like you parents! Going after whatever you want and not caring who you hurt along the way. The only thing that matters to you is that you satisfy that selfish desire of yours!"

"How fucking dare you and you have the audacity to call me a bitch?"She hissed. "You're the one that couldn't trust me with how you felt about Louis in the first place. Instead you ran to my husband!"She yelled. If Marian wanted to go there she sure as hell would. "Yes I would've been angry but I only ever wanted your happiness! You never gave me a chance to even assess how you felt or the situation and I've never gone after anything I've wanted!"

"I knew I could trust Zayn with my feelings. You have always been way too judgmental when I have tried to talk to you about my feelings for a boy!" Marian said angrily.  "I didn't want to hear the pro Harry speech the one you gave me a million times after I left him. At least I had the common sense to leave my husband before getting a boyfriend unlike you!" 

"You just fucking assumed I would give you the pro Harry speech!" She said. "You assumed I would judge you and your decisions! And I admit I had an affair with Liam, but Zayn and I are truly and fully back together as a couple.  Liam was and never will be my boyfriend!"
