Zayn found them curled up together on the bed and couldn't help but smile. He literally tucked them both in, checked on the twins and went to bed himself.
Kaia was up early the next morning and convinced Marian to go for a walk with the twins. They spent the remainder of the day watching cartoons together and eating junk food. Zayn left them alone and was happy to see them bonding again. He knew it was what they both needed. Despite the sadness that he knew was underlying.
They spent the next several days together just being besties. They would go out for lunch, shopping. They even took the twins to the zoo on one of the nicer days. Marian seemed to be doing alright with being around the twins, much to Kaia's relief. Marian even spent some good quality time with Destiny, which made Kaia smile, even though Ahmir didn't want to share his auntie with his sister.

They would also all have dinner together as a family every night. Kaia hoped it was helping Marian, but there were times that she noticed how quiet she would be and seemingly staring off at times. Those were the times that she would leave her alone at times, knowing she didn't always need the constant hovering.
Harry came back to London, but didn't come to the Malik house. He'd had a long talk with his mum. He told her that he was still very deeply in love with Marian, but he felt it would be best if he stepped back for a bit. Give her the space that she needed. He would always be there for her, but he wasn't going to push it. If she wanted him or needed him, he was and would be there for her. He knew that she still had a lot of emotions and feeling that she needed to deal with. Louis texted him once with only the words 'I'm fine' and that was it for quite a while. He wasn't going to push it as he knew that Louis needed time to heal as well.
He texted Zayn that he was back in town. Zayn told him that the girls were reconnecting and that Marian seemed for the most part, on the mend. Harry told him what he had told his mum and they promised to meet up for lunch soon.
After a few weeks, Marian was restless and she felt compelled to walk. She needed to get out of her own head and she needed to walk. The weather was improving and she didn't care where she went. She slipped on her flats and left the house. Kaia was at a meeting at SYCO about a possible tour and her next album and Zayn was with his cousin and the twins.
She spent hours walking around Picadilly Circus going from one store to another. Stopping from vendor to vendor that had their wares for sale. Picking and prodding at the merchandise they were offering to sell almost in a daze. She didn't know what to do next, she had just buried her one and only child. The love of her life was so overcome with grief over the loss of their son that he had left, unable to be in the same room as the woman who passed on her cancer causing sickness to their son. She had to admit it was her fault their child died and soon she would be joining him.
She looked up and wasn't sure where she was just the fact she needed to continue walking. It was the only thing that made sense to her.
Harry just turned off the documentary he was watching and headed towards the bedroom. He was feeling very emotionally drained. He wanted to see Marian so badly, but he knew he needed to give her space. His phone rang as he was pouring himself a drink. He looked at the caller id and saw that it was Cara. He wondered why she was calling him. They hadn't spoke in forever.
