Kaia was up early the next morning. She glanced at her husband who was still sleeping. She got up and showered and then got dressed. She glanced at the clock on the nightstand and saw that it was still indeed very early. It was still dark outside but the rays of the sun could be seen hitting the horizon, but she could also see the storm clouds as well. She stood next to the bed and guilt washed over her for what she had done with Liam the previous day. How could she have done that to Zayn. She bent down and placed a soft kiss on his lips.

"I love you so much," she whispered. "I'm sorry."

She headed to the nursery to check on the twins who were both still sleeping. She was actually surprised to see Ahmir even in his crib. She thought for sure that Marian would've tried to keep him by her. She peeked into Marian's room and saw that she was sleeping. She hoped that she would be able to help her best friend get through this. She just needed to keep her own emotions in check and not become weak herself. She left Marian sleep and headed to the kitchen. She turned on the coffee and pulled out one of her many notebooks and just stared at the blank page. She opened her laptop and pulled up her email. She saw there were several from Simon in regards to some upcoming appearances. Including the BRITS. She wasn't nominated but they wanted her to perform. She knew she couldn't say no. With a heavy sigh she opened some of the links that Simon had sent for her to look for some dresses. One for the red carpet and one for her performance.

The thought of being on a red carpet terrified her. At least with her showcase performance, there wasn't any of that. But this was huge. At least she knew Zayn would be by her side. Except while she was on stage. That is what scared the living crap out of her. Millions of people would be watching. She began to scroll through dress ideas when she heard footsteps behind her. She turned around to see Marian.

"Good morning," she said. "I thought you would sleep in today."

"The smell of coffee woke me. I can't resist fresh coffee. Do you have any of the good creamer?" She asked then looked around to see if they were alone.

"It's in the fridge," she said. "I went and got you some," she said with a small smile.

"Thanks," She said shyly and then proceeded to fix her coffee the way she liked it. She sat on one of the stools next to the breakfast counter unsure of what to say to Kaia next.  She wondered when the twins would rise for breakfast.

"How did you sleep?" She asked as she glanced back at her laptop and drolly scanning through the pictures of the dresses.

"Soundly," she said taking another sip of her coffee. "Do you mind if I make some eggs?"

"Feel free," she said. "I'm sure there's fruit and bacon in there somewhere. I'm glad to hear you slept alright."  She watched as Marian rummaged through the fridge. "I...." she began. "Marian."

Marian took out the cheese, ham, bacon, and eggs and placed them on the cutting board next to a frying pan. She turned when she heard Kaia said her name. "Yes, Kaia?"

"I need to apologize to you."

"Why because I was right? I told you there was nothing to worry about. The twins love me," she said and began mixing together the ingredients for her omelette

Kaia sighed. "I know they love you," she said.  "And I guess I overreacted." She said, but she was always going to worry.

"Ahmir loves me more then you," Marianchimed  as she made her breakfast. Once she finished with her omelette she said down. "You love to overreact! You always have. With everything."

Kaia gasped at Marian's statement about Ahmir. Her anger began to boil. She got up and refilled her coffee and sat back down. "I do not always overreact."
