After they left the carnival, they drove around for a little while. Zayn held tight to Kaia's hand the whole time. They'd had a great time as a family and he couldn't help but feel the pull back to her as they'd once had. He thought she looked incredibly beautiful in her sundress and he could see happiness in her eyes.

When they got home, it was still fairly light out. The twins were asleep in their car seats. They carried them inside and Marian came rushing into the kitchen to greet them.

Kaia noticed that Marian was not even looking at her. She made an immediate beeline to Ahmir and took him out of Zayn's arms. "I'll put him in his crib," she said.

"Um, okay," Zayn said as she whisked him away. He looked at Kaia who merely arched an eyebrow at him and then saw her sigh heavily.  He walked up to his wife. "I'll take her, and meet me in the garden," he said and kissed her cheek.

"The garden?" She questioned.

"Yes," he said with a smile. "And go put on your leather jacket."

Before she could reply, he was walking down the hallway with Destiny. She wondered what he was up to now, but she went to the front closet and put on her leather jacket and headed out to the garden to wait for him.

Zayn went to the nursery and placed his still sleeping princess in her crib. He saw Marian fussing over Ahmir, even though he too was sound asleep.

"Are you alright?" He asked her.

She spun around to look at him. She so wanted to tell him what she had saw on Kaia's phone, but she bit her tongue. Even though she was irate with Kaia, she had promised her that she would never out her to her husband. "I'm fine," she said pasting a smile on her face. "How was your family outing?" She asked.

He smiled at her. "It was the best," he said. "We haven't don't that in so long and it felt really good."

"How was Kaia?" She asked. Her best friend was such a hypocrite she thought thinking back to the texts and pictures on her phone.

"Good," he said. "It was the closest we've felt in a long time. Listen, I have a favor to ask."

"What kind of favor?" She asked as he pulled her out of the nursery.

"Would you mind watching the twins for a little while?" He asked. "I want to take Kaia for a ride on my new motorcycle."

"Motorcycle?" She asked her eyes widening. "When did you get a motorcycle?"

"A while ago but the weather hasn't been decent enough to take it out," he said. "So will you?"

She looked at him and see he was nearly chomping at the bit. She hadn't seen him this excited or happy in a while. "Fine, go," she said.

He hugged her quickly and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "You're the best," he said and hurried out the back door of the house and into the garden. He'd had the motorcycle hidden in the back shed and Kaia had no idea that he had bought it.

Marian watched him rush out. She would put off her conversation with her cheating best friend for another time. She went to the kitchen and got herself a bowl of ice cream and headed back to her room. She settled herself on her bed and turned on the video monitor she had set up in the nursery so she could keep an eye on the twins. A million and one thoughts running through her mind.

Kaia was growing slightly impatient as she waited for Zayn. Then she heard the sound of an engine and she turned. She gasped when she saw him. He was sitting on what appeared to be a new motorcycle and he was wearing her favorite thing   A leather jacket.  He was leaning back slightly on the bike and he just stared at her.
