Harry was beginning to worry, Marian wasn't answering his calls and the last time he was over at her place she was very sickly.  He had his mother make him some chicken noodle soup, hoping he could nurse her back to health. His mother had also made a remark that made him wonder and worry.

Ann had given him a pregnancy test, suggesting Marian may just be suffering from morning sickness.  It had been several weeks since he had talked to Gemma about his wanting a baby and so far Marian hadn't seemed to have caught on that he wasn't wearing a condom anymore.  They'd been going at it like rabbits and he was blown away by this theory.  And he had been trying not to focus on getting her pregnant, although it was always in the back of his mind. Marian told him that she thought she could never have another child due to her cervical cancer, but his mother reminded him that miracles could happen.

Marian loved him again and that was something he feared would never happen again. So Ann persuaded him to bring the idea up to Marian and get her to try to take the pregnancy test.  He crossed his fingers that she wouldn't throw him out for even suggesting the idea. He knew that the idea scared her to death and she was still recovering from the loss of her son.  He knew she would never get over that.  He loaded up everything and knocked on her door.

Marian answered the door and he could have sworn she looked paler than the last time he saw her.  "How are you feeling? I brought you some soup." He asked with a grin.

"Thanks," she said forcing a smile. " I hope I can keep it down."

He followed Marian into the living room and watched her open the soup his mother had prepared.  She ate it down surprisingly well.

"It's delicious," she grinned.

"Thanks, mum made it and I was talking to her about you and she was worried you weren't eating enough and one other thing," he said nervously and then bit his lip.

Marian furrowed her brows at him. "What aren't you telling me Styles? What happened to things being different this time around?" She asked him.

"I don't want to freak you out," he said.

"Harry I promise, you can tell me anything. I won't get upset or mad. I want us to have an open and honest relationship and conversations with each other."

"Umm okay," Harry said hesitantly. "My mother has this funny notion that you might be pregnant with all the nausea and puking you've been doing. She even asked me if we were having sex and being careful," he said fumbling with his fingers.

Marian's eyes widen at the notion of being with child again. If she was being honest with herself the thought of it scared the shit out of her. " You...you told me you had condoms. We were using condoms!" She all but shouted at him.

"They aren't 100 percent effective and there might have been a time or two when I was too caught up in the moment or too drunk," Harry admitted.

Tears began to stream down her face. "No, No, No. I can't do this again! You lied to me Harry, I trusted you!"

"I didn't do this on purpose, have you ever thought it maybe this is a sign and how things were meant to be?" He asked.

Marian wiped away her tears and proceeded to stare him down. "No, you did this on purpose to trap me. Force me into doing something I do not want to do again! Get out of my house with your bullshit theories!" She screamed.   "I can't believe you would even bring up something like this. Especially, after all, I went through with my son! I will never be over losing him!" She yelled, fury rolling over every word she said.

Harry was completely blown out of the water by her response. She wasn't acting like herself, it was beginning to become more evident to him that she was pregnant and her hormones were going into overdrive. He understood, but that didn't mean her words hurt any less. "I would never force you to do anything you didn't want to do and I'm so sorry for bringing it up."  He said sadly.  "I'll just go now. I just want you to know that I love you deeply, never forget that," he added and then set the pregnancy test down on the coffee table. He walked closer to her and tried to hold her hands, but she backed away. "I'm sorry, love." He breathed out unable to get the sadness out of his tone.
