Kaia looked at her sister as she stood in the doorway. "I told Zayn not to tell anyone."

"I'm your sister, I'm not just anyone," Katia said placing her hands on her hips.

Kaia all but rolled her eyes. "Well you may as well come in since you came," she said. She winced as she readjusted on the beds. Her ribs were what hurt the most.

"Why thanks for the warm welcome," she said then dragged the chair closer to the bed. "Do you want to explain what was going on in your head? What happened?"

"Sorry. I'm just in a lot of pain," she said. She looked at her sister and gave her a small smile. "Nothing was going on in my head, Katia. I was going through an intersection, albeit I was rushing to get through it, and the truck that hit me, his brakes failed and I spun into a pole and well, here I am.  I'm glad you're here," she added.

"Well, I'm glad you are safe and sound. I need my sister in my life." Katia grinned at her. "Louis sends his regards but didn't want to come in just in case Marian was here."

"Totally understandable, and I need you in my life as well," she said and moved the pillow under her casted arm. "I guess this screws up my grandiose plans for Zayn's birthday present," she said with a scowl. "Christ I won't even be able to feed Karim properly!" She said trying not to get upset. "

"I'm sure Zayn can help you out with feeding Karim," She giggled. "They have pillows to help babies feed too. Or you can pump."

"Now that is going to be a comical sight to see," she said. "Trying to pump with one arm." She sighed heavily and looked at her sister. "When did you get so well versed on how to feed babies?" She couldn't help but ask.

"I have been googling some stuff for you. Trying to be a good supportive sister. Plus I went shopping with Marian and she was looking at breast pumps. So I know it is possible to just hook yourself up and the machine will do all the work." She laughed at the image in her head.

Kaia couldn't help but giggle but then put her hands on her ribs. "Oh God don't make me laugh," she said. "I...I didn't come over yesterday to see Liam," she said. "I was coming to see you." She knew that things were weighing heavily on her sister's mind.

"Sorry, sister didn't mean to make you laugh," Katia said. "Umm, well why don't we stick to meeting at my flat from now on. Things will work out better if you don't visit Liam's place for a while."

"I wasn't going to," she said.   "It's just you are hardly at your own place anymore," she said. "Can..can you hand me that juice please?" She had no intention of talking to Liam for a long time. If ever. He hurt her badly.

Katia handed her sister the juice. "If you call, I can be home in twenty minutes. I am home more often these days. I'm not giving up my independence until I am a married woman."

Kaia drank her juice and looked at Katia. She could see the wheels turning. She was just like her. "Is Liam waiting in the car?"

"No, he stayed home," Katia said. "Louis brought me, he was worried about Karim."

"I'm so thankful he was on the other side of the car," she said. "The police showed me pictures and I'm lucky to be alive from what they told me," she said.   "Please tell him thank you. That means a lot to me."

"I think he is talking to Zayn at the moment. But I'm sure your hubby is giving him your best." She smiled at her.

Kaia handed her back the empty cup and watched as she chewed nervously on the inside of her cheek. She did that too. "Say what I know you're dying to say, Katia," she said. "We're twins I can sense things."
