Kaia kissed Zayn goodbye and headed to rehearsal. The past few months had been magical since he had come to California and they ironed things out and they were back to almost the beginning of things. And when the twins joined them, things got even better. He and the twins stayed on the rest of her US leg of the tour. It was like they were back in their pre marriage and honeymoon stage.

She was off for a few weeks before the start of the European leg of her tour. But she still needed to rehearse. And she and Zayn had talked to Simon as they had news to share with him and Zayn was putting a few more stipulations into her contract. Some things had changed and he was even more over protective of her. She had called a break and headed to her makeshift dressing room and sat down, closing her eyes and resting for a few moments.

"Kaia."

She opened her eyes and saw Liam standing there. She couldn't help that her heart skipped a beat. She didn't know if it was him in general or the shock of seeing him. Truth be told she had been avoiding him. Ever since Zayn had literally beat the crap out of him.

She stood up. "Liam," she said. "What are you doing here?"

"Why haven't you called me?" He asked moving closer to her. "Why have you shut me out of your life?" He was heartbroken by the seemingly dismissal happenings.

"Liam....we...I....." she stammered. "What....what we had can no longer be," she said chewing on her bottom lip.

"I love you Kaia," he said taking her hand and kissing it. "I told you I was fine with you staying with Zayn and when you could see me...." He hated himself for playing Katia at times, but it was Kaia that held the strings to his heart.

"Liam, we can't anymore," she said. "Zayn....we're truly back together. Things are good between us again and I'm.....I'm...."

He didn't let go of her hand. "You're what Kaia?"

"I'm pregnant," she said and looked at him. Trying to fight her tears. She loved him and hated hurting him and he was still her best friend.

"Is it mine?" He asked, stunned by her news.

She shook her head. "No," she said. "Liam I....I will always love you but we could never be, you know that. I'm sorry for taking advantage of the situation at the time but I....I...."

He pulled her into his arms. Savoring her scent knowing it would probably be the last time he would have the chance to hold her. He fought his own emotions. He was so in love with her. "Kaia, you have nothing to apologize for." He kissed the top of her head. "My beautiful butterfly. I will always love you and..." he pulled away slightly and lifted her face upwards with his fingers. "And I'll never regret any of it." He lowered his lips to hers and kissed her gently and slowly. One last time.

Kaia wrapped her arms around him and kissed him back. She would never cross that bridge again but this was her goodbye to him.
