After dropping Marian at home after a round of power shopping, Kaia headed home and found her husband in his studio.  His parents still had the children.  She told him the song that she had heard and that Perrie had recorded it.  Zayn told her that Simon had called him and wanted to set a meeting up with the two of them so he could explain what happened and it was set for the next day.  She also told him about seeing Louis, which worried him.  He knew in time they would have to talk to Marian about the fact that Louis was back.  He was worried it was going to send her into premature labor or something like that.  Zayn knew they had to protect her but he also had a feeling that she was going to be pissed as hell because so many people kept it from her.  He shot him a text to find out what he was up to but didn't get a response back at all.

The next day Kaia and Zayn made their way to SYCO where Simon was waiting for them.  He tried to explain to Kaia that Perrie had seen a stack of songs on his desk and that she had blatantly gone through them and when she saw the one that Kaia had written, she took it without his knowledge and recorded it and literally went behind his back to release it.  The producer that had produced it had been let go from his contract with SYCO.

"How can I expect you to have my best interest at heart now, Simon?" Kaia said more than a little angry.

"I do," he said.  "You've become a fantastic songwriter, Kaia and from here on out you will have full creative control over your songs and songwriting," he said to the both of them.

"But how's that going to stop Perrie from just waltzing into your office and doing what she did?" Zayn asked sternly. Now that they were in Simon's office and he heard what happened, he was livid.

"She won't," Simon said.  "I promise you.  I swear it."

Zayn looked at Kaia who he could tell was still very upset and feeling deflated about this whole thing.  "What about compensation for Perrie stealing her work?"

"Baby, it's okay," she said quietly.  "I don't want anything from her."

He took a hold of her hand and turned to look at her.  "Listen to me," he said gently.  "You worked hard on that song and she stole it from you.  I know you don't really care about money and fame, but you deserve your due as well."

"Forty percent royalties," Simon said.

"Forty percent?" Zayn questioned.  "That's lowballing it and you know it."

"Fifty percent is as high as I can go, Zayn," he said and looked at Kaia.  "Would that be acceptable to you?"

Kaia looked at Zayn.  She had been listening very carefully as they had been talking and her wheels were turning.  "No, it's not," she said.

"What do you want then?" Simon asked.

"I want seventy-five percent of royalties from my song," she said and heard Simon gasp.

"Kaia.  That's......."

"And if I don't get it I will find a legal way out of my contract with SYCO and go to another label," she added.  "And if that perky blonde bitch ever tries to steal my music again, she will find herself with my foot up her arse and she will find herself in court!" She said firmly.  "I think that's fair, don't you?"

Simon glanced at Zayn and then back at Kaia.  "You drive a hard bargain, Kaia," he said.

"I will never let her steal from me again," she said and glanced at Zayn before walking out of Simon's office.

They watched her leave and then Zayn stood up.  "I think it would be best to get this all in writing," he said.

"Your wife drives a hard bargain, Zayn," Simon said with a smile and a shake of his head.  "I'll get the papers drawn up for the royalties for her.  And Zayn," he said.
