Harry sat on the couch of the room reading his newspaper. Having listened to Marian sigh for probably the millionth time. He knew it was pissing her off by him being there. He knew it was pissing her off by Kaia always being there. But he felt confident that they could make her see she had a lot left to live for even if she didn't see it that way.

"Your heavy sighing isn't going to make me leave just so you know," he said and continued to read his paper.

She sighed heavily one more time, just to irk him. She swung her feet over the edge of her bed and started to play with the bandages her on her wrist, knowing it annoyed him.  "Well what more do I have to do to get you to leave me alone with my pain?"

He lowered his newspaper and looked at her. "You keep picking at those bandages and I'll have you restrained," he said and then went back to his newspaper but he wasn't really reading it.

"You used to be more fun Styles." She rolled her eyes then walked over to the window, watching the birds enjoy their freedom.  "What do you want from me?"

He set down his paper and watched her. "I want you to realize what you want isn't the answer."

"Then what is?" She snapped.  "Because I don't know what else to do!"

He got up and walked over to her and sat on the window ledge looking at her. "I want you to be happy. I want you to live a full life. And that Marian Styles is not the answer even though you think it will make everything better!"

"How can I be happy when everyone I loved with all my heart left me?" She shouted at him and then started to pace the room. She couldn't stand still, the manic energy was getting to be too much for her. Thinking about William and Louis drove her to have maddening thoughts.

He watched her pace. And he let her.

"And do you think that no one else loves you or cares about you or wouldn't do anything for you?" He asked. "I'm not going to pretend that I know how it feels to lose a child. No parent should ever have to live with that pain. But it happened. And as for Louis," he said and watched as her steps faltered slightly. "He is dealing with this in his own way. You have so many people that care and love you and would be forever lost if you would be gone!"

"I know, but it hurts Harry!" She wandered over to tray of uneaten food. She took a piece of melon and stuffed it in her mouth.

He walked over to her and took a hold of her hand and sat down with her. "I know love," he said gently. "And I'm so damn sorry that you are in so much pain. I wish I could take it all away for you. I wish I could make what happened in the past different." He handed her another piece of fruit. "But we can't change it. We can't live there. We have to keep on going even if it hurts and we just want to hide away or make ourselves gone forever. It doesn't solve anything."

"Believe when I tell you have to tried to figure out why you love me, why you have so much faith in me and I come up clueless. I've thought about this for days and I am no closer to an answer as to why you are wasting away your days here with me," she said popping a grape in her mouth. It seem to make him more at ease.  "What should I do with myself now?" she sighed.

"You need to live your life," he said stealing a grape. "Don't let your despair and grief win. Don't fall into an even darker hole. I'll even make a few deals with you."

"Deals?" she asked raising an eye brow "You know I have always been a fan making wagers and deals. Tell me more, I'm listening."

"First off," he said picking up the plate of fruit and fed her some more grapes. "You have to start eating some more and no more fighting with the doctors about your chemo."
