Kaia drove away from Liam's, her eyes filled with tears. She honestly couldn't believe how he'd been acting. He broke her heart. She could hear Karim start to whimper slightly. "We're going home my love," she said.
She heard her phone go off but she reached down to turn it off. She didn't want to talk to anyone or even see anyone. She would tell Zayn that Louis was back but she had made him a promise not to tell Marian.
She glanced up and saw that the light had just changed to yellow so she floored it to get through the intersection and she heard a car horn blaring. She turned her head and screamed as a truck slammed into hers and everything went black.

Zayn sat next to the bed willing Kaia to wake up. He had been at the house with the twins when he had gotten the call from the hospital. He called Niall to come and stay with the twins because his mum and sisters were in the States.
He rushed to the hospital and was told that Kaia's car had been hit on the driver's side and she was knocked unconscious. She had a broken arm, some cracked ribs, and a mild concussion. They told him that Karim was alright. A few scratches from some glass but he was going to be alright.
He thought about calling Marian, but he didn't want to worry her and he only would if things weren't looking good. He put his head on the bed and held her hand. "Baby, please wake up," he pleaded with her. The thought of nearly losing her again was weighing heavily on him.
Kaia felt like she was dreaming and her head was pounding. She slowly opened her eyes and blinked to get her bearings. She reached her hand up to her head and saw an iv tube in her arm. She looked down at her other hand, encased in plaster and saw someone holding it and then realized it was Zayn.
"Zayn?" She asked. Her mouth feeling dry.
He looked up at her. "Oh baby, thank God," he said and moved closer to her and kissed her. "I.."
"What..what happened?"
"What do you remember?" He asked. The police had told him what had happened and that the truck that had hit her, their brakes failed and that's why they slammed into her and then she had somehow hit a pole too. They showed him pictures too and he felt sick to his stomach when he saw them.
"Oh my God! Karim!" She screamed and began to panic.
