Kaia couldn't believe her eyes. Harry was in Marian's bed. Maybe Liam was right about them. Instead of grabbing a towel, she just sat in the kitchen.

"Kaia," Harry said as he walked into the kitchen. "I...um thought you were in Bradford."

She arched an eyebrow at him. "After rehearsal yesterday I was going to go but changed my mind." Especially after she had seen Liam at rehearsal. She suddenly got very nervous when she wondered if Harry had seen Liam's car in the driveway. "I...I um spent the night in Zayn's studio."

"Marian invited me over.  I don't mean to intrude on your hospitality but I wasn't expecting to spend the night. I wasn't expecting anything that happened last night actually," he said with a chuckle.  "So I heard you and Marian had a girls day. I'm glad you are moving past this Ahmir thing."

She got up and poured him a cup of coffee. "It...it was a good day," she said as she watched him. "Can I be honest with you about something?" She asked.

"Well I hope that we have known each other long enough and well enough to be open and honest with each other. I am always here if you need a sounding board," he said taking the cup of coffee. After last night he needed the caffeine.

"I'm trying to get over the whole Ahmir thing with him calling her mummy. But it still hurts Harry. Very deeply." She said and held up her hand when she saw him about to protest. "But I am going to try not to be so angry around her anymore, but I can't just get over it.  It's not something someone just gets over."

"I'm sorry, Kaia.  It won't last forever and you still have Destiny to fall back on," he said with a shrug.  "I know how this is but Marian is on the upswing of her cancer treatments. Give it another month and she won't need him anymore. We can start weaning her off him."  He said.  "Was there anything else you wanted to talk about? I'm a very good listener."

She sat back down next to him at the table

"Why did you tell Liam to leave?" She asked. Might as well put it all out there on the table so to speak. "And not to contact me at all?" She asked.

Harry's eyes widened at her accusations. How the hell did she even know about that?  "I...I...don't know what you are talking about. I have done no such thing. I cannot control anything anyone else does," he said.  "So I don't know what you are accusing me of."

"Harry come on," she said. "You've always said you would be honest with me about things. So please don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about."

"Fine, you're right. I did promise to be open and honest with you," he took a sip of his coffee. "Answer me this first. How did you come to find out this knowledge, who told you I did that?"

"He did." She answered simply.

Harry grunted with annoyance. He should have figured.  "Kaia, you were too focused on Liam to see the pain Marian was in. To see that she needed you, so I made a deal with Liam and he left. If you weren't so focused on him, then Marian would get better, the two of you would work out your problems and become tight again. She needs people in her corner and you were in Liam's corner so I removed him."

"And I needed someone in my corner," she said angrily. "My best friend nearly took her own life and you took away someone I needed."

"No, I didn't. He is a major distraction and danger to the life Marian helped you make," he said bitterly.  "If you would not have been so consumed with making out with Liam, playing your pity me act while he fawned over you, then maybe she would have never tried to take her own life!"

Kaia stood up so fast her chair tipped over. "So now you're blaming me for what she did?" She growled back. "How fucking dare you accuse me and blame me for her attempt to take her life!"
