"Would you like to go for a stroll my lady?"

"Yes," she said smiling at him. She took Karim out of his seat and held him close and they started to stroll down one of the paths. "Liam, it's beautiful here."

"I love all of the foliage. The trees in this park are so huge it makes you think we are small specks in the world. These trees have seen so much life and will be here long after we are gone.  Really makes you think." 

 "It certainly does," she said as they walked through a tunnel of foliage and it seemed to block out the sun. She couldn't help but notice they were the only ones on the path. "Lima Bean," She said softly.

"Butterfly," Liam smiled over at her

 "I...." She stammered. "I'm always going to be in love with Zayn," she said and looked up at him. "But I'm always going to love you too." She admitted. "I'm probably going to go to hell for thinking that and I'm sorry for putting you...putting myself in such an awkward and uncomfortable place," she said and turned away from him.

"Kaia, my beautiful butterfly. You never put me in any awkward or uncomfortable situations. I put myself there.  I love spending time with you and I don't care what others think."

Kaia walked with him some more and then saw a flower bed of roses in various colors. "They're so pretty," she said.  "Can we sit for a few minutes?" She asked. "Unless you want to carry the little pork chop?" She asked.

"I will hold the little pork chop, I need the practice anyways," he chuckled "Plus I would like for us to keep walking."  He smiled at her. He was enjoying his walk in the park and didn't want it to end.

She handed her son to him and smiled and they continued to walk. "Do you still wish he was yours?"

"Honestly?" He asked and smiled down at Karim.

 "Yes."

"No, because that would have made me a home wrecker. Zayn would have taken the twins and left leaving you broken. You would have come to hate me for getting you pregnant. Katia would have never given me a second chance, I truly do love her." Liam confessed.  "I would have lost my best friend and my first born all in one swoop. Things worked out the way it was supposed to. We are meant to be friends and only friends. I know that now," he said hugging little Karim.

She smiled at him and tucked her arm in his as they walked. "I love you Lima Bean," She said. "So where else should we go today or are you sick of me?" She teased.

"I think if I kept you out any longer your husband will send out a lynch party. We best be getting you home," he said. "I love spending time with you always."

"You're probably right," she said. "We should get going." She stopped him from walking and stood on her tiptoes and kissed his cheek. "Always my Lima Bean," She said as they then made their way back to his car.

"You will always be my beautiful butterfly, but I need to get back to your sister before she cuts my balls off as I haven't texted her back all day," he said. He still hadn't had the courage to tell Katia he was going to spend the afternoon with Kaia. She was still one of their hot-button issues.

The drive back to the Malik house as fairly quiet. Each of them in their own thoughts.
