Chapter 3

Erin's POV

So we are walking into her room when we get a text from Hank.

So interview her see what you can get. Then meet back at the district I think we have a lead.

As we are walking in to the room Jay asks

"Do you wanna take the lead or me."

"I think I'll take it." I say

"Alright"

"Hey I'm Erin with the cpd do you mind if we ask you about few questions?"

"Yeah no problem." She says.

"Ok so to start off what's your name?"

"Haley" She says.

"Ok Haley how old are you?"

"Um, 21."

"Ok your doing great do you know what day it is today??"

"Um... Tuesday??"

It was Thursday. Which means he held her hostage for two days.

"Um... Ok. It's actually Thursday..."

"Oh no what happened? Why am I here?" She says as she starts crying

I look to Jay for some help. I'm not the best when it comes to people's emotions.

"We believe you were kidnapped, tortured and left for dead by a guy named John Smith. Does that name mean anything to you??" Jay jumps in.

"No I don't think so." She responds.

"Just think did you meet anyone maybe on Tuesday named John??" Jay asks.

"Um... Yah maybe it's a little foggy I was at a bar after work Tuesday and there was a guy there that kept talking to me. His name was John or James I'm sorry I can't help you out much. It's just I can't remember much."

"That's alright. That's normal for someone that has gone through what you just did." I say

"Thank you guys for saving me." She says.

"No problem it's what we do." Jay says.

So Jay and I start to head out when Haley starts

"Hey Erin?" She says.

"Yeah" I respond

"I remember now his name was John. He was about 6 foot and had black hair."

"Thank you, you don't know how much you have helped us out." I say

So Jay and I leave and head back towards the district.

*at the district*

"So what did you guys find out." Hank says as we walk upstairs.

"She is 21 doesn't remember much has no memory of the last two days. But she did confirm she saw a guy named John that fits our description at a bar Tuesday and he wouldn't leave her alone." I say

"Ok so it looks like we have Smith responsible for this girl but let's tie him to Kaitlin's murder and maybe the two unsolved cases." Hank says

"Hank you said you had a lead??" Mouse asks coming in.

"Yeah mouse was looking through smiths Facebook to see what kind of stuff he has been posting. Almost all of his posts are threats to police." Hank says.

"But why does this guy have such a beef with police?" Jay asks.

"We asked the same question turns out Smith had a cousin that was sent to jail and it is said that he is innocent of all charges. Ever since Smith has been unstable and has been making threats saying that all police should pay for what they have done to his family." Mouse says.
