Where We Want To Be. A LINSTEAD Story

Chapter 8

Sorry for not updating this week. It has been a very busy week.

Erin's POV

"So we have the rest of the day to ourselves what do you wanted do?" Jay says.

"Um maybe we can... I don't know. I just want to spend the night with you. What would you like to do?" I say not really caring what we do as long as I can spend time with him.

"I'm not sure yet. This will be our first official date. I want to make it special. How about I drop you off at home and I will be back at 7 to pick you up and surprise you." He suggests

"Sure that sounds great. That should give me enough time to get ready."

As I say this the famous Halstead grin that I love spreads across his face.

"What are you smiling at?" I ask a little confused.

"Nothing just the fact that you are going to take the time to get all nice for our date." He states.

"Well yeah why wouldn't I, it is going to be a night to remember isn't it?" I say like it was obvious.

"Of course it is." He says still smiling.

The last five minutes of the ride were quiet we just sat there holding each other's hand.

"Ok I will be back in 3 hours to pick you up. Be ready." He says getting out of the car.

"Don't worry I will be." I say joining him.

I give him a small kiss and then walk back into my apartment to start getting ready for tonight.

Jay's POV

So as I was driving back home I was thinking of what I could plan for Erin and I to do tonight. I thought maybe I could take her to a nice restaurant for dinner maybe Chinese since I know it's her favorite. Then we could take a romantic stroll through town and maybe we could find a carriage to take us for a carriage ride. Then I would take her back home kiss her tonight and tell her how much I loved her.

So I called this romantic Chinese restaurant in town and made a reservation for us at 7:15 which would give me enough time to pick up Erin then drive there. This was going to be a great night.

Erin's POV

So when I got home I decided I would take a shower and start getting ready. I wanted to look perfect for my date with Jay tonight. When I was done in the shower it was 4:30. I out on some comfy clothes for when I was getting ready. I decided that I wanted to do a slight curl to my hair so I went and sat on the couch and turned on the TV watching a show while my hair dried. When my hair was dry it was already 5:30. I knew i still had an hour and a half but I still had alot to do.

So I went into the bathroom got out my makeup bag and put on just a little more makeup than usual. Then I curled my hair to get the perfect wave with a little bit of ringlets. When I was done that it was 6:30 and I still had to get dressed. I went to the closet and looked at my options. I had alot of clothes that were for work like leggings, jeans, t-shirts and my leather jackets. But I didn't have too many options for dresses to wear. But I did have my two favorite dress. One was a knee length loose black dress that I loved but didn't really think it would fit the night. So I decided on my other favorite. A red tighter fitting dress with a deep v neck.
