Chapter 42

3 weeks later.

Jay's pov

It's been three weeks since Erin's surgery and she is back full time at work now. Will said she only had to be off for a few days but hank wouldn't let her come back full time untill yesterday just to make sure she was fine.

We just got back from a big case we have been trying to solve for a few days now and we finaly caught the guys responsible.

We were just sitting up in the bullpen doing the paperwork for the case.

"Guys once you finish your paperwork you can go home." Hank said sticking his head out of his office.

Once he went back into his office Erin quickly got up from her desk and walked over to mine.

"Hey hurry up with that. We still have to go Christmas shopping and now is the time to do it before everything good is gone. Christmas is in one week you know." She said excitedly.

She has been bugging me to go shopping for the past week but we hadn't had the time to go.

"Yes we can go but you need to get your paperwork done too." I say motioning to the papers on her desk.

"Yeah I'm going to do that right now. And think about something good to get everyone in your family. I didn't get them anything last year and I want to make up for it." She says going back to her work.

I didn't even bother telling her she doesn't need to buy something big for anyone in my family and that they will be happy just to spend time with us because I have told her that so many times and I know by now she never listens and does it anyways.

After about an hour it was 12:30 and I just finished my paperwork.

"Her Er I'm all done. How much do you have left?" I say just as Platt walks upstairs.

"Almost done just a few more minutes." She says.

"Halstead there is someone wanting to speak to you downstairs." Platt says.

"Do you have a name?" I ask.

"No she didn't say, just that she knew you and that you would want to see her." She reply so before walking away.

That's weird I don't know who would come to see me at work.

"Her Er I'm going to head downstairs. Come down when your done up here and we will leave." I say heading downstairs.

When I walk down the stairs I don't notice anyone I know untill I see the long blonde hair I could never forget. Even if I couldn't see her face I knew who she was.

"Allie?" I say walking up to her at the front desk.

"Jay" She says turning around with a huge smile on her face.

"Hey. What's up i haven't seen you in years. What brought you here?" I ask wondering why she would come back after what she did to me so many years ago.

"I came to see you" She says taking a step closer.

"I have missed you baby." She says taking another step forwards.

Then she quickly closes the gap and I feel her lips on mine before I can stop her.

Once I realise she is kissing me I quickly place my hands in her shoulders and push her away.

"What the hell." I say once she is off of me.

"I want you back baby. I'm sorry for what I did all those years ago." She says about to take another step towards me
