Chapter 30

Erin's pov

When I opened the door I walked in and saw Jay starting to stir in the bed. He was starting to wake up.

"Jay" I say as I run to the bed and grab his hand.

"Jay" I say again and his eyes flutter open.

When he sees me he goes to move but instead a huge groan escapes his mouth and he starts breathing heavy.

"Hey Jay. You fine it's OK just calm down." I say in a soothing voice.

He listens to my words and slows down his breathing.

"Wh-where am I? How did I get here." He says quiet enough to be a whisper.

"Jay your in the hospital. Do you remember what happened?" I say a look of confusion on his face.

He takes a minutes to think and I can see he is confused and is trying to remember. A minute later his muscles relax.

"Oh ya. I remember now. Did you get the guy?" He asks.

"Ya we did."

"Good" he says letting out a deep breath.

"Ah" He moans when he does so. "Why does it gotta hurt so damn much."

"I can get the nurse in here do you want more painkillers?"I ask standing up to go get the nurse.

"No its fine. I'm good." He says reaching his arm over to grab my hand and drag me back to the bed.

Hank went out anyways to get the nurse knowing they would have to do a check up to make sure everything was alright.

"Hey come here." Jay says trying to scoot over to make room for me on the bed.

"Jay, no your hurt." I say

"No its fine. It will make me feel better" He says with puppy dog eyes and patting the spot he made beside him.

"Fine" I say carefully sitting beside him in the bed.

I lay down beside him and put my head on his shoulder careful not to hurt him. Then his hand goes behind my back and rests on my waist pulling me closer to him.

"I missed this." He says kissing the top of my head.

"I was scared Jay. I didn't think I would ever see you again." I say lifting my head to look him in the eye as a tear drips down my cheek.

"Hey I'm back aren't I." He says lifting his arm to wipe my tear away.

As his hand is on my cheek he pulls my face towards his and places a soft kiss on my lips.

"You don't know how much I missed you." He says as he pulls away.

I place my hand on his cheek and pull my face back towards his. The kiss was more passionate filled with hunger.

"I think I do." I say as I pull back.

Just then there was a small knock on the door. It was hank back with a nurse.

So I sat up and got off the bed and sat back down in the chair next to jay.

The nurse did a workup, checked his meds to make sure he was getting the right amount and all that. When she left Jay spoke.

"Hey Er can you go find Will? I have to talk to him for a minute"

"Ya sure. I will be right back." I say before steping out of the room closing the door behind me

Jay's pov

So I had woken up and I was in the hospital. I was in a lot of pain but i didn't let that stop me from cuddling with Erin and kissing her beautiful lips. The lips I was convinced I was never going to kiss again.
