Chapter 6

Jay's POV

I walk in to Erin's hospital room. She has been here for about a week now and things are going great. I am taking things slow since she is still very sore and is nervous of people being around her and especially touching her because of what happened. I don't blame her what happened was traumatic and I expect it to take a while for her to get over what happened.

As I am walking in I notice her sitting in bed crying.

"Erin why are you crying." I say walking up to her.

"um... Jay..." she says but she is having trouble speaking she is sobbing so much.

"Hey your fine. I won't let anyone hurt you again I promise."

"Jay... They want me to... Go home." She manages to get out.

"Erin thats great. That means your getting better." I say enthusiastically

"No Jay... It's not safe... There are people out there... That might be out to hurt me... Jay I can't go through that again." She starts before I stop her.

"Erin nobody is going to hurt you. I won't let them. I am here for you."

"Promise?" She says looking at me with teary eyes.

"I promise." I sya grabbing her hand.

"Thank you. I just don't know how I am going to be able to go home. Jay what if I can't protect myself."

"Erin stop doubting yourself. You're strong and powerful."

"Jay I just..."

"Hey why don't you come stay with me. I have an extra room. And I will be there to help if you need me."I interrupt her.

"Yeah Jay that sounds perfect. Thank you."

"Anything for you." I say grabbing her hand

"Thanks alot Jay." She whispers.

I have something to ask her but I don't know how she will react.

"Hey Er?" I ask.

"Yeah?"

"I don't really know how to ask this. We have never even been on a real date. But Erin would you maybe be my girlfriend." I ask a little nervous for her answer.

"Jay I would be honoured to call you my boyfriend." She says with a smile making kne spread across my face too

"Ok I was just worried since you know hank and all that. I didn't know if you would because he kinda forbid it..." I ramble until she stopped me.

"Jay I have wanted to call you my boyfriend for along time now. As for hank he will have to deal with it. But for now maybe we could just keep it between us."

"Yeah for sure. We can tell him when your ready." I say still smiling.

"Hey Jay?" she says taking a deep breath.

"Yeah"

"Will you lay with me?" She asks a little nervously

"Really. I wouldn't want to hurt you."

"Jay it's fine your the only one I can trust right now. I know you have my back and will never hurt me. I just need some comfort right now" She begs

"Erin of course I would love that." I smile even more.

So I gently slide into the bed beside her careful not to move to fast so I don't hurt her. She sighs as I lay down and she burrows her head into my chest. I wrap my arms around her and give her a kiss on the forehead before falling asleep on each other's arms.
