Chapter 9

Erin's pov

I woke up and I started freaking out. There was someone in my bed beside me. But then I realized there was no reason to freak out. It was Jay. The one I am in love with. The one that I had an amazing memorable night with that i will never forget.

Jay was still asleep so I just snuggled up to him wrapping my arms around his torso. Until he started to stir.

"Morning babe." He says waking up

"Hey I had fun last night." I say digging my head into his chest

"Oh yeah. So did I." He says wrapping his arms around me and pulling my closer

"Jay what did I ever do to deserve you?" I say pulling back just enough to look him in the eyes.

"What are you talking about? What did I ever do to deserve you?" He says causing me to let out a small chuckle.

"Look at me. My past. I don't deserve this or you." I say frowning.

"Erin your always putting yourself down. You are perfect. Yes you had a rough start but that's in the past. You got through it and you are the strongest person I know." He says lifting my chin so I am looking him in the eyes again.

"But..." I start before he interrupts me

"Erin stop. Your perfect and I would never change a thing about you." He says causing me to smile.

When he finishes he pulls me closer and gives me a kiss. It felt great. I could spend the rest of the day just here in Jay's arms.

"Erin I really hate to split this up but unless I want to get on hanks bad side I should really be getting to work." He says pulling away again

"Yeah I do hate to end this but you really don't want to get on hanks bad side. It's bad enough that he will probably kill you just for being with me. We can't make that any worse." I say thinking to how hank will react without anymore reason to be mad at jay

"Yeah. I guess I should take a shower before work." He says sitting up

"OK babe."

So Jay jumps out of bed and goes to the bathroom he leaves the door open a crack. I don't know if it was on purpose but it was tempting not to go in there. Finaly I couldn't take it anymore. So I jump out of bed and I hurry to the bathroom and jump in the shower with Jay.

"Well hello beautiful." He says turning to face me

"Well I figured I should take a shower today too. And why take one later when I could take one now with you." I say coming up with an excuse for wanting to join him

As I finish this his lips crash against mine and he pulls me closer.

"Jay I really do love this. But if you don't hury your going to be late."

Jays pov

So I had to hop out of the shower and hurry to work so I wouldn't be late. I had to stop by Starbucks to grab breakfast and coffee since I didn't have time to at Erin's. I pulled up just at 8. Right in time for shift to start.

I walk right up to the bullpen as fast as I can. Surprisingly avoiding any of Platts sarcastic comments.

We didn't have any cases to work on so we were just catching up on paperwork all day.

Just as it was time to go hank called me into his office.

"Halstead can I talk to you for a minute?" He calls.

"Yeah." I agree

So I walk into his office kind of nervous for what he was going to say.

"You wanted to talk to me sarge?" I say when walking through his door.

"Yean i just wanted to ask how Erin was doing." He says as I close the door behind me

"Um... how would I know..." I stutter a little confused.

"She is staying at your place right?" He says in an obvious tone.

"Oh yeah she is. Um we are actually staying at her place now she just felt more comfortable in her own bed at her apartment. But she is doing fine. She is sleeping better now. Sleeping through the night. Not as many nightmares now. I definitely think she will be ready to come back to work next week." I explain her situation.

"OK thanks Halstead. Go home and take care of her. Make sure she is OK and is recovered for next week." He says.

"Alright Sarge. See you tomorrow." I say as a walk out his door and out of the district.

Erin's pov

It was 5 o'clock. Jay should be home anytime now. Just as I was thinking this is hear Jay come in the door.

"Jay?" I call out to make sure it's him.

"Yeah Er it's just me. How was your day?" He asks walking into the living room.

"Boring. I don't know how I am going to be able to stay locked up here for another whole week." I complain for the millionth time.

"I know babe. You just need to take the week to rest up for Monday." He says.

"I know." I sigh

"Are you hungry? He asks making his way to the kitchen

"Yeah I guess?"

"What would you like tonight?"

"Um surprise me" I say not really caring, just being glad I did the have to cook it

"OK. Why don't you choose something to watch on Netflix while I cook dinner." He says taking out some of the stuff.

"OK." I say turning on the TV.

I chose to watch friends. Just as the first episode finished Jay came in with supper. He made me chicken and mashed potatoes. It was delicious. When we were finished Jay took the plates and took them to wash them.

We watched a few more episodes and then I was starting to feel tired. I guess I was starting to drift off because I felt Jay pick me up and bring me to bed. He layed me down and then slid in beside me. I curled into his chest and fell asleep there.

Sorry this is so short. I will definitely it'll be posting again Tomorrow. I am making a Christmas chapter that I wanted to post today but I didn't have the time so enjoy this for now
