Chapter 36

Erin's pov

So we pull up to the bar and kim goes in. We all wait a few minutes so it doesn't look like we are going in with her.

After a few minutes we get out of our cars and head inside. Once inside we take our places so we can all watch Kim. Jay and I are together at a table away from the bar where they wouldn't notice us, looking like a couple on a night out and Adam, Kevin and Antonio are sitting at the bar and few seats away from Kim.

Hank and Al were out in the van so they could keep watch on the cameras letting us all know what was going on and so we could all talk to them if we needed to.

After a few minutes we hear Hank in our earpieces. "They're walking in now."

A few seconds later we see them both walk in. They stand in the doorway and look around, probably looking for their next victim, Kim. Once they spot her sitting at the bar they whisper something to each other but they are too far for any of us to make out.

"Could anyone make out what they just said." I whisper into the cuff of my jacket where there is a microphone that we can contact each other through.

"No it was to quiet" I hear Antonio answer through his mic.

I look back over to them at the door and they are walking in separate directions. Stephanie is making her way towards Kim at the bar and Dave is walking towards the bathrooms.

Stephanie walks right up to Kim at the bar and asks to sit beside her.

"Hey sorry is this seat taken?" she asks

"No go ahead." Kim says allowing her to sit down.

Stephanie does just that and orders two beers from the bartender.

"My husband is just in the bathroom." Stephanie says.

They keep talking for a few minutes just a bit of small talk getting to know each other I guess. Then Dave comes over and wraps his hand around Stephanie's waist giving her a kiss on the cheek and it almost looks like he whispered something in her ear.

He sits down on the stool beside her and looks over towards Kim. He introduces himself and then they all continue on with a conversation.

This goes on for about 15 minutes with nothing interesting going on and we begin to wonder if maybe it wasn't the Lancasters that committed any crime.

But then Dave speaks.

"This isn't really my scene, it's kind of boring. Why don't we head to this party I know of across town. You can come with us if you want." He says motioning to Kim.

"Um ya sure." She says.

So they get up and start walking to the door.

They are about to pass right by us so I lean over and connect my lips with jays. It was just a short little kiss just so they wouldn't see us and notice who we are.

"Oh young love." Stephanie says as she passes by. Is she ever good at putting up a nice innocent girl act. This is nothing liker her.

I pull away once I know they have passed and I can just see them as they exit out the door. I can see the boys standing up from the bar getting ready to follow them out.

"Nice job with the distraction so they didn't see us." Jay says

"I didn't do it just to distract them" I lean in and whisper in his ear.

I can feel him get stiff beside me at what I just said.

"Hey come on we have to go" i say placing my hand on his chest pushing him out of the booth.
