Chapter 53

I know it's short but the chapters will probably be shorter from now on so I can update more often. And just to remind you guys that comments and votes are greatly appreciated. It means alot when you guys comment you like the chapter or even just voting. It does make me more motivated to write for you guys knowing you liked the previous chapter. One week later

Jay's pov

"Erin I don't think it's a good idea for you to go back to work. Remember that nat said this is a high risk pregnancy. Going back to work could put too much stress on the baby." I say.

Erin was medically cleared for work right before we found out she was pregnant but we decided to take another week off work to let the pregnancy thing settle in. But Erin is set on going back to work even though I don't think it's a good idea.

"Jay I need to go back to work right now. I need to get out of this apartment. I need a distraction." Erin says

I know this has been hard on her and she is going crazy being cooped up in the apartment for so long. And I understand where she is coming from.

"But Erin I don't want anything to end up happening to the baby and more importantly I don't need anything happening to you again." I say

"Jay trust me I can take care of myself and you will be there for backup. And I will call Nat right now to see if me going back to work could possibly do any harm to the baby." She says grabbing her phone and walking out of the room.

She comes back in a few minutes later.

"So Nat said me working won't cause any harm on the baby even though it's a high risk pregnancy. Thats basically why I am on the extra pre natal vitamins. She said I can go back to work if I really want to." She says with a smile on her face

I mean I do want her back at work and I want her to be happy I just don't know what I would do if I ever lost her again.

"Alright fine if it's what will make you happy, then you can go back to work. But you have to tell hank and get his permission first." I say causing her to groan

"Really. I don't think I'm ready to tell hank." She whines

"Erin I don't really want to tell him yet either, but if your going back to work he needs to know the truth in order to help keep you safe."

"Fine." She says walking into the kitchen to get some breakfast.

"Erin please don't be like that. You know I love you and I'm only doing this for you." I say walking up beside her and turning her around to face me

"I'm sorry I just need to get out of the apartment. I'm getting a little stir crazy being in here everyday. I love you too and I love how much you want to protect me and our baby." She says putting her arms around my neck giving me a kiss

"I know." I say kneeling down on my knees so my head is level with her stomach

"I will do anything to protect this little guy." I say placing my hands on either side of her still flat stomach.

"How do you know it's a guy?" She asks with a smile on her face

"I don't I'm just going to call it my little guy." I say "And I love you so much" i whisper to her stomach giving it a small kiss before standing up again
