One week later

Erins pov.

"Erin. Er wake up." I hear whispered into my ear as my shoulder is gently shaken.

"Hmmm" i mumble rolling over to face him

"Er. Its time to get up. Today is a big day remember?" He asks as i open my eyes.

"Oh yeah. I'm up" I say remembering what today is

Today is my first day back to work and we also have our second appointment with Nat today. So hopefully we will get a definite answer for how far along i am and we will get some closure on the whole situation.

So I get out of bed and go to the kitchen to get something to eat for breakfast.

When i get there jay already has eggs ready on the table for us.

"Eat up. You have a big day ahead of you." Jay says as i sit down to eat.

"Er you ready to go?" Jay yells from the front door just as i finished up in the bathroom.

"Yes I'm coming." I say meeting him at the door.

"Alright. So our appointment with Nat isn't until 2. So we have a few hours of work before we go. And Hank said we are free to go home after the appointment." Jay says as we grab all our stuff walking out the door.

"Hey it's all going to be alright." Jay says placing his hand on my knee before driving away to the district.

We get there on time like usual and jay parks the car before we head inside. We quickly make our way upstairs to see the team after so long.

As soon as we get upstairs we are greeted by the team.

Kevin makes his way over to me and gives me a big hug.

"Glad you're finally back" he says as he pulls away

After a very short reunion Hank walked out of his office announcing we got a case.

"So early this morning 18 year old Amelia Stewart wandered into Chicago Med confused and clearly beaten. After doctors got her to agree to medical treatment doctors found out that she was kidnapped, held hostage for at least a week, tortured and..." Hank explained stopping when he locked eyes with me

"What else Sarge?" Adam said

I gave Hank a slight nod signaling for him to continue with his explanation.

"Amelia was raped multiple times. She then told doctors that she was not alone. She was held captive with another girl and said that she was still with their assailant." Hank finished his explanation. "Doctors have said she is now able to talk to police."

"Sarge I would like to go and interview her if that is alright?" Jay says.

"Yes you can go." Hank says so i grab my jacket to get ready to head out

"Where do you think you're going Erin?" Hank asks

"Going to the hospital to interview the victim." I say

"I told Jay that he could go I didn't say that you were going with him." Hank said

"But Hank i'm back at work now why can't I go?" I argue

"Erin I said you could come back to work but remember you aren't allowed to go out into the field."

"Hank interviewing is not field work." I say and the look on his face tells me he knows i am right
